After breakfast Yellow and the twins did the dishes. The twins didn't complain at all, probably because Yellow didn't yell at them for once. Yellow was determined to set up a good anniversary party, hoping that the father would trust him enough to let him go to a salon or somewhere outside. Yellow was so determined that a wave of ideas flooded him. The one thing he struggled with was the things that happened at an anniversary. He knew that an anniversary was like a birthday party but for two people and a bit quieter.

Do they both cook the meal or do they go out to a restaurant? Do they drink wine all day or just at dinner? Is it supposed to be a secret and they both try and outdo each other? All of these questions surrounded Yellow's head. He wanted the anniversary party to go well. His Saving Grace came when he heard the TV being switched on.

The grandma had turned on the TV to a reality TV show about anniversaries. Yellow sat down on the opposite side of the couch from where Grandma was. It was a little hard for Yellow to take seriously. The men felt like oblivious idiots and the woman fought over the dumbest things. Yellow and Duck have been in more meaningful fights compared to the petty women. When the ladies weren't being mean to each other they were being rude to their husbands. Yellow wondered if it was normal for married couples to be mean to each other. The couples had some moments where they were nice to each other but they were only doing that to make their anniversary party look better and to make the other women jealous. Was Yellow just like them?

Yellow didn't want to watch TV anymore. He already had enough ideas for his plan. In the bedroom yellow was getting dressed. He put on a dark blue long sleeve dress that was very frilly. Yellow hat immediate regret when the dress felt very itchy. He wanted to take it off when he heard a knock at the door.

"Hello Mother. Do you mind doing my hair?" Lily was holding a hairbrush and a headband.

"Lily can you give me a minute? I need to do...Um." Yellow turned his back on Lily.

"Of course. Here let me help you." Lily started to walk towards Yellow.

"Help me with what?" Yellow winch when he heard a zipper go down his back, bringing the Itchy dress closer to him.

"That dress looks very nice on you mother. Now you're ready to do my hair. Hooray." Lily dragged him towards the bed and sitting down in front of his lap.

Yellow felt like he was trapped in an itchy stray jacket. He wanted to undo the zipper but since it was down his back he couldn't reach it. Yellow started to brush Lily's hair when he remembered something else. Mothers and fathers aren't really nice with kids hair. He was already upset at Lily for locking him in a sensory nightmare so he took out his frustrations in her hair. Yellow did not hold back he made sure that every inch of her hair was brushed and when he got to the smallest knot he would yank the brush as hard as he could.

"Ow! Mother that hurts." Lily wined

"Stop being so dramatic. I'm barely even touching you." Yellow lied as he grabbed chunks of her hair like he was strangling the life out of it.

"Ow! Mother please. I think you're ripping out some of my hair."

Yellow looked at the brush to see a lot of blonde hair pushed into it. "No I'm not!" He quickly grabbed some of the hair out and tossed it behind him.

At this point Lily started to squirm and move around, desperate to get out of Yellow's grip. Yellow knew that this was enough and he turned the brush on its flat side and lightly hit her head.

"Stop moving around so much I'm about to do your hair. You act like I'm about to take out your scalp, calm down." Yellow put the brush down and grab the rubber band. He didn't know the first thing about braiding hair so he just messed with it a little bit and wrapped the hair tie around the bottom part of her hair.

"There we go you're done." Yellow finally let Lily stand up to look at her hair.

"But mother this isn't done well." Lily almost sounded scared to finish her sentence.

"What do you mean? It's fine." Yellow picked up the brush. "Unless you want to go for round two?"

"No thank, you this is fine." Lily scampered out of the room.

Yellow was relieved that that was over when he realized he was still wearing the Itchy dress. He spent the next hour desperately trying to get that dress off. The sleeves were too tight to push up and when he tried scratching it only pushed the texture deeper into a skin. He tried to reach the zipper but it was very tiny and his arms couldn't move back that far for a long time. He grabbed the dress by the ends and started to pull it up. He felt exposed doing that. Eventually yellow started to claw in scratch at it, trying to rip the Frills off. With enough tugging he was able to rip it enough that he could squeeze out. Yellow immediately went to the other dress with the yellow and green flowers and put it back on. He was so happy yet completely exhausted. The fabric felt calming but he still felt exposed because of how flowy it was.

Yellow wanted to be in a cozy little box with no outside sounds or lights. He felt very overstimulated and it didn't help that his mind was racing with thoughts and ideas, that he got overwhelmed by them. Yellow grabbed a fuzzy brown blanket from the closet and laid it down on the floor. Then Yellow lay down on the edge of the blanket and grabbed its side. Yellow rolled over, taking the blanket with him until he rolled all the way under the bed. His body was now completely rolled up in the blanket and he grabbed a pillow to lay his head on. Yellow felt like a cozy burrito and he could feel his body relax.

Yellow often did this at his old home. Sometimes everything gets to be too much for Yellow to handle. He didn't want people to be around him but he still wanted to feel close to something. If he wasn't under the bed he would go into the closet. He would always make sure to do it when he was alone. Not because he was embarrassed by his methods of calming down. He did it when he was alone because having a person there would ruin the experience. This was his time to be alone.

Yellow felt so relaxed that he ended up falling asleep. He still had more time to plan for the anniversary and he had enough ideas. For now it was time for him to take a break.

(That took a while but we're finally here. The thing that Yellow was doing at the end of the chapter was just me projecting how I handle overstimulation when I'm at home. Yellow has ideas for the anniversary but what are your ideas? How would you plan an anniversary party for someone you dislike?)
