The Best Mom Ever!

Syrup that bonds and distracts

    Breakfast was very quiet. Yellow guy didn't have the mental energy to talk to anyone and the twins were too nervous from the previous interaction to bring up a conversation. Soon the father came in dressed up and ready to go to work and he actually had a smile on his face, not a creepy one just a genuine one. Yellow Guy grabbed more pancakes and stuff them into his face so he could have a reason to not interact with the father.

"Good morning my lovely family and my beautiful wife!" The father said almost sounded like he was on a sitcom of some sort.

"Good morning Father how did you sleep?" Lilly said happy to talk to any parent who didn't want to shut down a conversation with a stupid argument.

"I actually sleep really well, For the first night in a while I didn't feel lonely or cold and empty. It's so happy that we're all finally reconnected as a wonderful family." The father said almost casually. But he kept looking at yellow hoping that he would add something to the conversation.

      Did this man seriously just trauma-dump on his children like that? Yellow thought to himself. Like if you want to mention this stuff and say you finally got a good night's sleep is all right, but leave out the angsty stuff about feeling lonely, your kids don't need to hear about that! Does he trauma dump like this often, maybe this was the reason why the twins got someone; to get him to shut up about him missing his wife. In Yellow guys anger, he started to chew faster and accidentally swallowed the pancakes in his mouth now realizing that he has barely enough pancakes to pretend like he couldn't engage in the conversation because his mouth was full. His unlikely savior came to him when he felt a tap on his shoulder and he turned around to see the big brother sitting there holding a napkin up to him with syrup dripping down his mouth. Yellow guy cringed at the idea of wiping the brother's face like that but then he realize that this was another opportunity to not talk to the father.

"Oh wow that's a lot of syrup on your face let me get that for you." Yellow guy said, grabbing the napkin and starting to wipe down the brother's face. To stall for time he purposely spread it more around the brother's face so he could spend more time wiping it down.

Yellow guy had no idea if this was making the big brother just as uncomfortable as he was but it was also kind of scary to think that he was completely enjoying this. But also where the hell did he get syrup he didn't see any on the table or in any of the cupboards so does this family just hide things from each other or was he just super unobservant this morning?

Even though it was just 15 seconds it felt like forever and when he was finally done he noticed the last pancake on the tray was gone and the father was already walking out the door with it in his hands.

"Goodbye, everyone I'll be back by the end of work you have a nice day." The father said with one last attempt to try and get Yellow to interact with him like a wife.

"Okay goodbye, I'll be here with the kids bye see you later." Yellow guy said trying to sound as disengaged as possible.

The father finally left and when breakfast was done yellow was looking at Lily and  Todney hoping that they had something to do today.

"So do you kids have school today or what." Yellow guy asked hoping they would respond with a yes.

"Nope, no school but that's okay because you said we could spend the day with family bonding," Lily said happily.

"Hooray! A day full of games, treats, and hugs." Todney said adding on to Lily's previous statement.

"Oh yeah, I did promise you guys that well okay what do you guys want to do first?" Yellow said, deciding to let the twins have a good day so that later on he could use that as guilt if they ever act up later.

The Twins and the big brother had a big group hug with yellow in the middle. The hug was tight and a little unnerving before he could hear Lily whisper something to him.

"Our mother has finally come home and she will stay with us forever because we will never let her go," Lily whispered ominously before the grip tightened making Yellow Guy struggle to breathe. This made Yellow Guy too afraid to protest and he realized that getting this family to despise him will take longer than he expected.

(Sorry if this chapter took a while to come out and is a little short but studying for a driver's exam is hard and boring but I promise to my readers that I will put something out when I pass my test.)
