"I change my mind, the movies are a lame first date. Let's get ice cream." Richie said as they were walking.

"Good idea." Eddie nodded. He couldn't believe he was going on a date. So much had happened in the last 48 hours.

When they arrived, Eddie got chocolate and Richie got strawberry. They sat in the little shop and enjoyed it, talking about whatever came to their mind. It wasn't even awkward.

Once they were finished, they decided to go to the park and watch the sunset. Eddie hesitantly laid his head on Richies shoulder, awake in doing so this time. Richie finally had the courage to wrap his arm around him.

Everything was going great, until someone just had to ruin it.

"Well, look what we have here." Henry said with a grin.

"Seriously, Bowers? Fuck off." Richie rolled his eyes, both boys sat up straight. "Cmon eds." Richie said and grabbed Eddies wrist, standing up from the bench.

All of the sudden, Richie felt himself get pushed to the ground. Much harder than Eddie got pushed that time before. He slid and hit his chin on the Bench, causing it to bleed.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Eddie asked Henry. He'd never said a word to him, but he didn't feel scared, he felt angry. Why would anyone want to hurt Richie?

"Save it, wheezy. I'll give you a matching cut." Henry said and nodded towards Richie, who was standing up and holding his bleeding chin.

Eddie was about to say something else, but Henry walked away.

"Jesus, Richie. That looks like it hurts." Eddie went to Richie and looked at his chin up close.

"Yeah, doesn't feel great."

"Here, let's go to my house and I'll fix it."

Eddie led Richie to his room and told him to sit. He was cleaning his cut, which was making Richie wince in pain.

"Ouch!"

"Sorry! It needs to be cleaned so you don't get an infection." Eddie apologized.

"Yeah, yeah. Can you hurry up?"

Eddie rolled his eyes and finished up, putting a bandaid over his chin. He put the supplies away and returned to his bed, sitting next to Richie.

"Thanks, eds." Richie said softly, smiling at Eddie.

"Don't call me that." Eddie blushed at the way Richie was looking at him. He felt his heart beat increase as they both stared at each other and started to lean in.

Richie felt Eddies lips against his own and swore he was in heaven. It felt incredibly right. He pulled away from him and rested his forehead against Eddies. Eddie smiled, feeling nothing but bliss.
