NA: I hope the last chapter was adequate.

"Speculum!"
I must have been zoning out, thinking about what visions had come to me last night. Those fuzzy images were everything, yet, nothing at all. Nothing of substance that I could act upon, yet warnings of a future yet to pass. Whatever was seemingly in charge of my Unique magic was fickle, like they were testing my reaction on what I would do with limited information. Or perhaps it was messing with me and was playing with me out of amusement.
Either way, it would be best to judge what needed to happen and act as soon as possible if it was looking for entertainment, it is best to keep them occupied. Though I considered my Unique magic troublesome, I'd had it for most of my life. Without it giving me odd warnings it would be like losing one of my eyes. The best way to put it would be, to take a rich person and stick them in a poor environment, they would inevitably flounder for a while.
Shaking out of my stupor, was Viridis, green eyes pricing through the dimly lit room. Which note, did nothing to help distinguish who Professor and Viridis were truly. He seemed worried about my continuous zoning out, "Ah Viridis, apologize if I've worried you. I seem to be caught up in my thoughts as of recently."
He only hummed, seemingly content for the time being.
The professor had assigned us to form a rune of change. A rune that had set forms that could change an object to certain forms when an action is performed. Example A would be something like making 1 room turn into several. Dial one equals room one while dial two equals room two. I was at this point working on carving the preliminary runes into a bottle. Viridis and I were working on figuring out an automatic water-filling system that draws from a nearby water source within a few meters. We could also work on one for longer distances which would help with the Scorching Sands travel.
Looking in the direction of Professor, all I could see of him was a hunched form. No visible traits whatsoever, it was like he'd placed runes around the room he helped blur the features of the occupants of the room. Not to mention he was hunched over his work, so there was nothing to go on. It did make me wonder, 'What if one of us wasn't actually supposed to be here? How would Professor know?'
So as small talk, I addressed Viridis with my query, "Do you think that this classroom has a different type of security? After all, how are we to know if the two of us were actually students." Rather than Viridis answering, Professor did.
"You do not need to worry, only those who tried to sign up for this class could see the preliminary door. Also, that door is connected to many schools, which is the reason why after the first test we use those passes to come and go. So in truth, someone from across the map might be in here at one point."
There was an odd silence between us now, though I had nothing against those who went to another school there was a possibility that they went to RSA in that case. This means that if Viridis went to that school, he'd probably have some grievances against my true identity. After all, that was how it had been for all that formed a connection with our twins.
I coughed, breaking the silence that'd fallen. "Voco aquae et terrae elementa..." I began the incantation for fusing the runes in. Runes didn't need much magic, that was from oneself, they used commands to fuse the environmental magic into itself. "praecepto solidarietatis quaerimus." What runes majors DID require instead of a large magic pull was a large amount of control. To control the flow of natural magic into the rune so it wouldn't be under power and not work. Nor an overflow causing the rune to explode.
