Pete's footsteps echoed in the corridor as he made his way to Kinn's office. The door swung open, revealing the stern faces of Kinn, Porsche, Vegas, and Tankhun. The atmosphere in the room felt tense, and Pete couldn't shake the feeling that something important was about to happen.

"Sit down, Pete," Kinn gestured to the empty chair. Pete took a seat, eyeing the expressions of his companions. Tankhun looked upset, Porsche worried, and Vegas maintained a stoic demeanor.

Kinn wasted no time and got straight to the point. "Pete, I need you to accompany Vegas to Phuket for a mission."

Pete blinked in surprise. "Why me?" he asked, genuine confusion etched on his face.

Kinn leaned back in his chair, explaining, "I need someone I can trust, someone not known to the people we're dealing with. Since you stay within the mansion, our enemies won't recognize you. They'll mistake you for a newcomer accompanying Vegas on the transaction with the southern gun suppliers."

Pete nodded, understanding the reasoning. "How long will it take?" he inquired.

Porsche spoke up, "Just three days, a week at most. Vegas will finish the transaction as quickly as possible."

Pete sighed, worried about how he would explain his sudden absence to his children. "What about my kids?"

Porsche reassured him, "Don't worry, Pete. I'll take care of that. I'll distract them and let them know you're on a business trip. They won't worry."

Tankhun, his expression softening, added, "I'll personally take care of your children, Pete. They won't be alone."

Pete hesitated, torn between duty and fatherhood. He wanted to refuse, but out of respect for the main family and the assurance that his children would be looked after, he agreed. "Alright, I'll do it. But allow me to call my children while I'm there,"

Porsche nodded, "Of course, Pete. You can call me, Tankhun, or Madee whenever you want. We'll make sure everything's fine on this end."

Vegas interjected, "We're leaving for Phuket in two days, so get ready."

Kinn added, "Speak to Pol about your armory and the gadgets you'll need for the mission. Make sure you're well-prepared."

Pete nodded again, excusing himself from the office. As he left, Tankhun couldn't help but voice his concern to Vegas, "Take care of Pete, or I'll personally castrate you."

Vegas smirked, "Don't worry, P'Khun. Pete's one of the best bodyguards the main family has. We'll be fine."

Kinn assured Tankhun, "In addition to Vegas' team, I'll send a group to keep an eye on them during the transaction. Everything will be under control."

As Pete left the room, thoughts of his children and the upcoming mission swirled in his mind. He knew he had a responsibility to fulfill, both as a father and as a trusted member of the main family's security team. The next two days would be crucial, filled with preparations and difficult conversations. But Pete was determined to see the mission through, trusting that his family would be in good hands while he was away.

The night before Pete leaves for Phuket, Pete carefully lays Seoul on his left side, tucking the little girl in with a gentle touch. She slept peacefully.

Turning his attention to his son, Venice, Pete found him rubbing his sleepy eyes, struggling to stay awake. Pete smiled warmly, patting the space next to him on the bed. "Come here, son."

Venice scooted closer, curling up next to his father. Pete wrapped his arms around him in a comforting embrace. "Tomorrow, I have to go somewhere for work," Pete explained, his voice low and soothing.
