A/N: Surprise! I miss this story so I made this side story. I know some of you are looking forward to VeniceLee's and SanyaSeoul's love stories. I'm working on that. Anyways, enjoy this chapter. :)

Vegas sat behind the wheel, glancing at Venice through the rearview mirror. His heart sank as the boy, usually so bubbly and chatty, looked out the window with a quiet, distant expression. Venice barely looked at him and hadn't said a word to him since they got in the car.

Pete, noticing Vegas's silence, placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Vegas, don't think too much about it. Kids go through these phases," he reassured him softly.

Vegas shook his head, gripping the steering wheel a bit tighter. "I can't help it, Pete. Ever since he and Seoul came into my life, that kid has been everything to me. And now, he won't even look at me." His voice softened, filled with a vulnerability he rarely showed. "He always used to smile when he saw me... always."

Pete sighed, squeezing Vegas's shoulder reassuringly. "Just give him a little more time. He'll come around."

Vegas let out a frustrated sigh, his jaw tense as he kept his eyes on the road. "It's been two weeks, Pete. Two whole weeks. I don't know if I did something wrong, but if I did, I want to fix it. I miss him. I miss my son."

Pete's eyes softened, and he gave a gentle smile. "I know you do. And I know he misses you too, even if he doesn't show it right now."

They pulled up to the school, bothe Vegas and Pete got out of the car. Pete helped Venice out of the car and carry his backpack.

"Have a good day, buddy!" Pete said with a warm smile.

Venice looked at Pete, smiling back, "Bye, Papa! See you later." He gave Pete a quick hug and head to the entrance of the school without even a glance in Vegas's direction.

Vegas felt a pang in his chest as he watched Venice walk away, his heart heavy. "See? Nothing," he muttered. "Not even a goodbye."

Pete gave his shoulder another pat. "He's just a kid, Vegas. Kids can be like this sometimes."

Vegas looks away from the school entrance, "I just... I want things to be like they used to. He used to look up to me, and now... it's like I don't even exist to him."

"Vegas," Pete said, his voice gentle but firm. "Venice loves you. Just give him a bit more time. Tonight, I'll talk to him and see if he wants to tell me what's going on. And you'll have your little buddy back in no time."

Vegas took a deep breath, nodding slowly. "I really hope you're right, Pete. I just... I love that kid so much."

Pete gave him an encouraging smile. "You've been calling them your kids since the day we got married. Venice and Seoul know how much you love them."

"Yeah..." Vegas's voice softened, a small smile tugging at his lips as he looked down. "I just want to be the dad he can rely on. But thanks, Pete. For always being there."

"Always," Pete replied warmly. "And don't worry. Everything will be okay."

Venice sat quietly at his desk, his gaze fixed out the window. His classmates were playing outside, their laughter echoing through the schoolyard, but he felt distant from it all. Normally, he'd be out there too, chasing after the ball, laughing along with them. But today, like many days recently, he felt a strange heaviness in his chest, something he couldn't quite explain.

His teacher, Yam, entered the classroom and noticed Venice sitting alone. She walked over, her gentle smile softening as she took in his troubled expression.
