Tin raises an eyebrow, still not following. "And why would I need to do that?"
Taking a deep breath, Can met Tin's gaze, displaying the same stern determination that led to his hiring. "Because I'd like to resign."

In fact, Cantaloupe discovers at a highly favorable moment that he has fallen madly in love with his boss.
Truly, he ought to have known better than to tempt fate by proposing to bake an apple pie with a very hot, thoughtful, and sweet man? Cantaloupe had made a mistake by going there. That one was most likely his fault. He had always admired Tin—as a person, a businessman, and—well—physically, of course. But, he had never given much thought to the possibility that his admiration might develop into something more, something more profound, since he didn't want to jeopardize his job. Baking with tin seemed to be the straw that broke the camel's back in the end.
However, Cantaloupe also couldn't help but hold Tin somewhat responsible for causing him to fall in love. Since the art center, Tin had been reaching out to him frequently, buying him gifts, getting his opinion on things, and generally making Cantaloupe feel important. Then, during the team-building exercise, Cantaloupe is old enough to acknowledge that there were a few instances where they bordered on flirting. About. However, that was probably just because he was hoping, in his head, that Tin was flirting with him rather than just chirping. In any case, the weekend's events kindled a betraying hope spark in his chest.
Naturally, Cantaloupe attempts to convince himself that Tin's actions—including holding his hand, carrying him on his shoulders, bumping into each other, saying "please call me Tin," and exchanging frank but annoying comments about his baking—are simply Tin learning how to express affection, or perhaps Tin is making an attempt to make up for the past four years of their strictly professional relationship by trying to act like a friend outside of work. Giving meaning to something that has no meaning is pointless. That would only make him more likely to be let down.
Regardless, there's no better moment to confess your feelings for him than when you're baking an apple pie together during a team-building activity. As fate would have it, your boss—who, incidentally, is entirely too perfect and unachievable—just happened to have an urgent business trip to France, so you won't even have to try to avoid him for the next few days.
Alright, so it's not like Cantaloupe can truly elude his boss. He is, after all, Tin's assistant. He spent the remainder of the weekend providing Tin with the market research he had requested, as he had promised (thank goodness he had brought his laptop to the team building). Now that the work week has officially started, he must continuously send updates on how things are going in the office, as well as business plans, sales reports, and meeting minutes. That doesn't even include the new project he has taken on, which is organizing the opening of the Perault Ice Rink. No, he cannot simply cease communicating with Tin.
