In It Alone

 Everything happened at once. There was a male cop, about his late 20s early 30s, chubby around the waist especially, Dark hair with a light beard, Who walked into my room, who found me and my sister. I remember him trying to get us to come his way, but we didn't want to after what we heard from him. saying,

"I'm a good guy, follow me"

This was the scariest thing, never would I imagined having to hear

gun shots in my own home. When we finally got outside he put us by a cop car. Walking out the only thing I saw was blood and glass. The thing I ran over to Michael. but he wouldn't answer. then the paramedics said he was in a coma and wasn't expected to make it. I felt do bad. I had lost both my parents and now my brother.

About 10 or 20 minutes later. The very same cop that saved me, over to where I was and started asking questions.

"Hello, can I ask you names?"

"Uh I am Melissa and this is Anna," I said trying As my dad was getting put into a cop car, my mom was getting put in an Amblenance, and Michael was going to the hospital.

"Okay well, I am going to take you, to the police station to find you a foster care home for the night. Then tomorrow we are going to contact family" he said but with sympathy in his voice.

"Can we please go say by to our family before we or they leave?" I asked

"Uh sure but I have to stay with you," he said

"Okay," I said ready to cry

When I walked up to my mom I just started crying. Why would someone kill her? she was always so nice to everyone. now I already started crying.

"Why did he have to kill her?" I asked with tears coming down my face.

"I don't know, I just know that she had to love you both so very very much," he said with love and care and sympathy in his voice.

I kissed her face, and I and Anna said our 'love you' then went to Michael. I just remember crying. he honestly looked really bad. he must have got into a fight with my dad. because he had slash marks, bruises. all over. And the paramedics said from his body looks like he must have been attempting to protect my mom from my Step-Dad.

Now we headed to go to my Step-Dad, but Anna didn't want to go so it's just me. As I walked up the police ended up rolling down the window for us to talk

"Melissa, I didn't mean to hurt any-" he said like he was trying to apologize. before I cut him off.

"I just what you to listen, before you killed my mom, and put Michael in a coma I was going to keep in contact with you. I just can't believe you would do this. I now see how stupid I was. Your dangers toward us. so I promise you, that if you ever and I mean EVER try to contact me or Anna the cops will get called. So go to hell Dad. oh, wait you don't deserve to get called that so Mathew Go To Hell!"

And with that, I left. Then we left to go to the station. From now on it was just me and Anna, unless Michael Wakes up. hopefully, he will I need him.

-------At the police Station-----

I remember being scared, Not only for me but for Anna, and our very unknown future. Now that it's just me and her. The police said they can try to keep us together but not sure it will happen. For close up, to 2 1/2 hours the cops were on the phone.

Finally, the cops came back with Apple Juice and food. I was glad because we hadn't eaten since 11 am. Now it was close to 2 is and now Anna had fallen asleep Hours ago.

"We have found you guys somewhere to sleep," said the cop. While giving me something to eat.

"Okay, and umm tomorrow can we stop by my..my our old house to get our stuff," I asked. It sounded weird saying that because this house has always been our home, now that everyone is all gone it's going to be different. A new home, A new family.

"Yes, the family will be taking you girls for the night she will be here in 20 minutes," said the nice cop.

"Okay" With that, we sat and waited patiently -
