On my Own

Few Months Later

As time has passed i moved 3 states away. It is quiet different here in LA. I already got my GED, i didn't feel like staying there even though t was a place of my mom. And i wasn't just going to stay and see who else would die because of me.

My life right now consist. Of working,working and working. That's all i do, but its better than back where i was, just watching people die. But i did bye an apartment. i work 7pm-5am. I work at a Club...Yes a bar. But hey it brings in good money plus the tips that we get. That consist of 50-100$ So life's okay i guess. Micheal is out of the hospital, and Anna is living with him. Its all okay i guess. Besides me..Life is different and you always have the constant of boys trying to get in your pants. But most people just call me crazy.

Bye now i should be getting ready for work. It is 5pm. And tonight we were having a special to it was going to be a long night. And even though i am only 16, the Boss, hired me there are a lot of under aged workers here but it doesn't even matter. All's i do is just go and work serve beer, while 'em players go and try to get in our pants. Yep that how LA is. Although i do have to say for myself LA is amazing. Like you part,Party and it huge and pretty sites.

It was about 5:30 when my phone started to ring, I looked at the Caller ID. And i saw Micheal, a smile academically spread across my face, i hadn't called or talked to him in such a long time.

"Micheal?" i said to make sure nothing was wrong.

"Melissa, Hey it's me, how's LA?"

"It's good, How's Anna doing?"

"She doing good, she's starting Kindergarten now she loves it"

"That's good" bye now i was trying not to cry.

"So um Melissa, i was wondering in the winter if we could like meet up because i know you won't come back here so would you like us to come to LA for a week for lie Christmas?"

"I dunno i would have to look at my plans, but i would love to see Anna again"

"Okay we'll work on the details later"

"K, Tell Anna i said Hi"

"K'

and with that he went good bye.

Once i got to work nothing new came. i went to go put on my Apron, and start this 12 hour shift.

7 Hour's Later

Once i went to go and order the drinks for 2. I wouldn't believe what happened next. A friend her name was May. Came running up to me,

"Melissa stop" There was definitely something up.

"May whats the matter?" I asked knowing that she didn't run for the fun of it, there had to be something going on.

"Um look there's someone here and i already got me and you both dismisses. Were leaving now, so come on" She new this person...But i didn't have time to think because i was getting dragged, away.

Soon we were running she didn't even bother to grab her bags she just went grabbed her keys,And phone charger, and left,

"Your Car" is the last thing she said before we went and left.

"Where Too?" i asked not sure weather on not if it was 'safe' going to my place.

"Um Just go to Pasadena, it was about 20 minutes, and about 10 miles away"

"Uhhh Okay"

"So who was back there that i had to end my shift early?"

"Better let me drive for this one" she was definitely Nervous"

"Just Tell me"

"Uhmm okay, Your dad was uhm There, and He was drunk saying he was going to go after Your brother and try to find you"

"...." i couldn't go with that...It's official he's gone mad. Like really just to get revenge. He's the reason i came here to get away from him and all the death's that was going on. And why was he even in California, instead of Kentucky, or worse, when did he even get out of jail. I thought he was supposed to stay for another 2 1/2 years due to escaping.

"OKay Ya, Thanks May. Well we will stay here for the night leave early tomorrow morning"

"Okay"

Once we got there we got a room with two beds it would be cheaper than getting two rooms. Plus i was rich so it didn't matter anyways. I got over $300,000 a week. So i could pay. Okay see you in a few hour's it was already 3am. Bye the time we got a room.

-6am-

I have been up for hour's not able to sleep. Just up and thinking about My 'Dad's' revenge on me for his own stupidity. So about 6:20 i decided to call Micheal, sense he should be getting Anna up for school. Sense its Friday she still has to go and get ready.

i went to the bathroom, and let the phone ring.

"Meliessa? What r u doing up?" i heard him worry in his voice.

"Remember how we were thinking about Y'all coming around to us?"
I wasn't wasting time spilling it to Micheal. we had to out safety first.
"Yes?" He said like a question when really there not sure what your gonna do or say.
"Well long story short. Uh I saw Anna's Dad, Drunk and he said he's going after you, to hurt me on the long way.he thinks I'm living with you" I said in one long sentence.
"But I thought he got time added to his 6 year sentence"
"So did I"I said with honesty
"What do you suppose we do"
"Well, putting a restriction on him won't work, so I say you move up with me my apartment has security guards, everywhere video camera's. And we can send Anna to a private school."
"I love the idea, but I don't got that kind of money, I mean sorry Melissa but I am already struggling"
"I already got it planned, I get $300,000.000 income a week, so i can get you here And Pau For Anna. I Will still pay bills in all." Let me THINK we can video call later"

"Okay" And i went to week up, May

9am, Friday Morning

I dropped May off at Her House And went to mine, i just went to sleep. For a while thinking about me paying for Anna's schooling. But i hope it dosent costa a lot. Even thought my income is a lot. But even if they do move up. I will hire guards And moving propale do i plan on spending about 800,000$$$ for them.
