New Fears

I was packing my stuff getting ready to leave when I decided that I was going to go check on Micheal one last time before I left. Right as I had my stuff ready Sargent Max came in and said, ¨Meliessa¨ He took a deep breath before continuing. This didn't look good his body was stiff. ¨I was told to tell you that on Tuesday at Eight am, is Matt's Court date. The judge has requested that you show up. So I will be there by 730 sharp, be ready.¨ He finished. Great just great. I have to show up at My step dad trial.

I don't even understand why I have to go. I will never forgive him for what he has done. He's a murder, he killed my mom and tore apart our family. How could they want me to show up when I can't even forgive him?

¨Okay, But why do I have to go? And where is Anna going to be?¨ I asked.

¨Your aunt now has partial custody of Anna and you, So she will be with your Aunt Josie. You are required to show up because Matt is now making an accusation that did the harm to Micheal.¨ He said with a frown on his face.

¨Okay.¨ Was all I could say because I absolutely did not want to go.

I figured that had to be the worst part of the day. The nurse came in and said that Michael wanted me in his room, So I started walking there.

"Hello, Michael," I said as I entered his room.

"Hello Melissa," He said with pain in his eyes and voice.

"Whets the matter?" I said with concern.

"I have some of my memory back"

He said it like it was a bad thing, although I don't quite understand, why that's a bad thing.

"Michael, I don't quite understand why that is a bad thing?"

"Because I remember the day I got put into a comma when I left you in Anna to try to save Mom from Matt, He said he would get revenge on you before he killed mom and attempted to kill me"

¨Oh...¨ Is all I could say. Before the flashbacks started to come off Matt being arrested and him trying to say sorry.

¨Look, I have a gut feeling that Matt was serious and that you're in danger. So I know that your staying with Aunt Josie, and take this letter and read it when know one is around.¨ Micheal said seriously.

"I think you're in danger, I know your staying with Aunt Josie, So take this letter, read it when no one is around"

"Okay, I Miss you...See me soon"

And with that, I left.

***THE NEXT DAY***

I woke up with a major headache and remembered that I hadn't called Derik since I left. And it was early so I would have some private time.

As I was dialing his number I suddenly heard, from the other line his so much adorable voice.

"Hello?"

"Hey, it's Melissa"

"Hey Melissa, why are you calling at 8 am"

"Because I need you" Which was true because I did need him to help comfort me. Seeing Matt was already sending me into a panic attack.

"Okay I will be over," Derik said as he hung up the phone.

With that, I slowly began to fall asleep until I heard a rock hit my window. Which scared the living daylights out of me. Instead of seeing dark I saw the wrong person at my window. I can't believe he found me. Now I had anger bursting through my veins. I don't think I have ever been this mad in my entire life. My body was literally shaking with anger and fear.
