recently, hyunjin has been paying more attention to his phone than to me.

it really sucked, we used to be so close.

he looks at the phone how he used to look at me. eyes bright, like he's so interested in whoever he's talking to.

why can't he talk to me?

he's dating me.

"here's some food," he said, passing me a bowl of soup.

you just got home from a long day at work.

and what do you see hyunjin doing?

laying down on the bed, laughing at his phone.

"who are you talking to hyunjin?" you asked. you just wanted to know. you wanted to know who he's been avoiding you for.

maybe it was important, it could've been a family issue.

or one of his friends needed some extra comfort.

"oh, no one."

great. out of all the fucking answers he could give.

"hyunjin. i think we should take a break."

"what?" he said, still not removing his face from the phone.

gosh how badly you wanted to know who the fuck he was talking to.

so you walked to the bed, reaching for his phone.

not before he moved it out of your reach though.

"what the fuck, y/n?"

you pushed the phone out of his hand to see a message reading,

"when are u going to come over again? i miss u and ur kisses sm!! :))"

the contact name belonged to some girl you didn't know. not anyone in his family. not anyone of his friends.

gosh how much you didn't want this to be true. this was your worst fear.

hyunjin promised he would never cheat.

"hyunjin-" you said, trying not to cry.

"y/n. she's just a friend."

"really? doesn't seem like it."

"babe, i promise-"

"you know what hyunjin? i think we should break up." you said, scrambling to pack your stuff.

"wait! y/n!" why did he look like he was about to cry?

"what hyunjin?"

"i only love you."
