First visit

Kyle dressed in a casual shirt and jeans, he was shaven and brushed his teeth. He drove to Kaye home it was 10 minutes away. He felt nervous she was different than the other women he dated. She was quiet, to herself and still broken he understood that because he wasn't over his ex wife. Yes she was a cheater and horrible but she was still his wife and he loved her still. Part of him knew why he stayed with her Kyle admitted he has a savior complex. It been a downfall of his even in childhood. He thought he could save Vicki, make her a better person. She was beautiful and knew it she use her looks to get her way. She was shallow and immature and spoiled but he thought he could change her for the better her parents love him he was the perfect man every parent wants for their daughter, but she had different plans. He pulled up to Kaye house. Her house was cute, small and modern looking. He texted her he was on her porch, and he knocked softly not to shock her he knows she is sensitive and easily frightened. Kay opened the door and she wearing a cute get up it's a jumper with lollipops on it, it fits her perfectly. "Hey come in", she says. Kyle stepped in and was careful to not track dirt. He was shocked with her home it was creative and colorful his home is nice but plain he doesn't have a lot of time to decorate. Plus Kyle is practical if it works then it doesn't have to look fancy. Vicki was never this creative he thought, she honestly barely cleaned she spent his money on cleaning crews with out his say so or knowledge. "I like your place it's creative and pretty". "Thank you you're my first guest" she said. "I appreciate the honor" "can I make you something I have lots of teas, cocoa, coffee, juice only thing I don't have is alcohol I don't like drinking" she says. "Tea is nice" "here would you like to pick a flavor" "you can surprise me". She smiled and started boiling her kettle. "I have food and snacks", "make what you want I promise I'm not picky. Trust me the military gets out any pickiness you think you have". Kaye heated up her tea warmed and brewed a vanilla honey tea and made cucumber sandwiches for them and pepperoni slices and cheese. One upside of living alone is being able to afford decent food and being able to save it longer. She got Kyle a nice mug and a tea cup for herself. Cream and honey in a small bowl and spoons. I was nice to feed a guest. "Thanks it was nice you didn't have to do all this" Kyle said. "No you're my guest and I feel bad about what I said earlier. I shouldn't have been rude" She said with remorse. "No you have no reason to apologize. I also got out of a bad divorce and marriage I understand how it can be hard to trust again"He said. "I hope I don't eat and gross you out" she said. Kyle confused "why would it"? "I eat gross". "Let me see it an honest bite". Kay took a bite of food Kyle watched "you eat fine" he said. "My ex husband always said I disgusted him eating and he would avoid dinner with me but now I know that was an excuse" she said sadly and looking down. "Hey we don't have to talk about him but I think he was taking out his insecurities on you" he said. "He would always put me down my looks, body, anything and everything he could put down about me he did. It gotten so bad before the divorce. He probably was trying to make me leave him so he can be guilt free in the divorce" she said. "I really do understand my ex wife she always complained about everything I did. I worked her to love and provide for her, and protect her but she was never satisfied with money I made, always wanted more. She cheated on me several times and like a fool I forgave her. She caused drama with everyone" he said. "I'm sorry she was like that" she said. "I'm sorry your husband was like that" he said. "I didnt mean to spring my sad story on you". "Well I shared mine so we're even". He grabbed her hand slowly "I think you're cool" "I think you're cool" she said letting him grab her hand.
