SUNDAY, June 30, 2019.

The room was still dark when Jasmine woke up to Micah's fingers circling shapes on her slender arm. Her eyes blinked a few times lazily as she tried to find her whereabouts. His touch was gentle and she found herself with his arm wrapped around her shoulder. She ran her eyes over his tattooed chest, where her hand was, and then feeling his chin resting on her head, she tilted her head back.

- Good morning. - She said as soon as he opened his eyes and saw her.

- It's a good day, indeed. - He kissed her forehead, and Jamie noticed that he seemed to have been awake for a while. She pulled herself up with her elbows and yawned, still waking up. - Everything okay?

- Yeah, what time is it? - She asked seeing that the sky was still a large dark blue cloth, and the only light that illuminated them came from the street lamps.

- Too early.

- Good. - She threw her body back on the bed and snuggled into his chest, closing her eyes.

- No, - He protested, holding her arm and making her move. - You'll have all the time to sleep this week.

Crunching her nose, she placed her warm hand against his chest and pushed him away, when he tried to get closer. She quickly got out of bed and ran to the bathroom.

- I didn't even brush my teeth! - she shouted closing the door.

- And who said I care?

After the carnival ended, Jamie and Micah escaped and went to the Salisbury hotel. It was close to midnight when they entered the room. And after a relaxing time in the bathtub, the two fell asleep while chatting.

Standing in front of the sink, Jamie put the hotel toothpaste on her index finger and rubbed it over her teeth, trying to get the taste of sleep out of her mouth. Her long hair fell down her back and the blue and white plaid shirt she wore the night before covered her breasts with just two buttons closed. She washed her face with cold water and tried to untangle her hair with her fingers.

Micah was sitting at the end of the bed with his phone in hand when she opened the door a few minutes later. She approached slowly, and as soon as she was close enough, he pulled her up and threw her onto the bed.

"Slippery," he smirked as she laughed, and he went into the bathroom.

She covered her bare legs with the white cotton sheet, and stretching her arms in the middle of the bed, she stared at the ceiling. Cuddling with Micah and waking up next to him made her heart warm. She felt happy but knew that another day like that would take a while to happen. Happiness was mixed with an anticipated longing.

He came out of the bathroom and her eyes quickly found him. Micah walked over to the couch and picked up the black backpack he had taken from the car the night before. He picked up a black box and then went back to bed.

- What is that?

- Curious girl. - He smirked, sitting next to her and handing her the small box. - It's a gift.

- But my birthday is still 3 months away.

- Can't I just gift you? - He asked making a smile grow on her face. Her eyes sparkled when she opened the black box.
