Around all those thoughts and just these thoughts Augustine's mind spins while her mother runs in her direction, pulls Taylor back in the car and Augustine in their house while the girl can't really think about anything let alone protest against her mother - which she surely never would do if it wasn't necessary. Then after entering the house Augustine, Betty, James and Inez sit down on the couch - well, before Inez has the chance to take a seat, all of them are gone and furthermore before even taking seat at wooden the floor Scarlett just looks at her and Inez knows she has to leave and wait. Wait till the evening or probably the next morning to get to know more about the whole situation.
After the clock finally hitting 12, Inez eyelids fall down and after feeling like probably sleeping for just 5 minutes there is a little sound as if someone enters the house. Maybe they are looking for Taylor? - It goes through the mind of the girl with an old baseball bat in her hand not even holding it properly to hit someone somewhere. Then there is it again, the quiet noise now seeming to come from upstairs and not downstairs anymore. Then there is the sound of maybe something falling down or more of something get packed in a bag. With every single passing second the noise comes more near and near while Inezs heart beats faster and faster until her bedroom door slowly opens and the person entering getting hit - well more of touched as Inez missed.

I know this chapter is very short and ends on a cliffhanger but that's a reason the next chapter will have to come faster and also I have ideas for the second part of this chapter that still have time to grow and finish.
