JIMIN POV

"Jimin this is our director Min Yoongi. Yoongi this is Park Jimin, he's playing the role of the main character's younger brother." The producer Seo-Yun says and gestures to a very tired-looking man whose glasses are sliding off the bridge of his nose and is slightly scruffy looking. He's wrapped himself up in an overly sized knitted cardigan, so this the famous director Min Yoongi?

"It's a pleasure to meet you." I hold my hand out and he shakes it.

"Ah yes, Jimin. I watched your audition tape, you've got real potential." Yoongi smiles and pats my arm.

"Thank you, this is my manager Jung Hoseok."

"Nice to meet you," Hobi shakes Yoongi's hand.

"Likewise, I'm sorry but I've got to go check on something with the cinematographer, Seo-Yun will show you around." Seo-Yun nods his head at Yoongi.

He claps his hands together "So, today we're just having the cast go over their lines in the green room. Do you have your schedule for filming?"

"I've got it." Hobi waves his phone.

"Great, I'll show you to the green-"

CRASH.

I look at the other end of the room and see a staff member standing over a box full of equipment. "Oi Jungkook! What are you doing!?"

"I'm sorry..."

The man who yelled before sighs "Layla, can you help clean this up?"

"On it!"

Layla? No surely not.

It's her.

The same woman from a beach nearly one year ago, her face has been engraved in my mind ever since that night. She crouches down and lifts the equipment back into the box, it's her. How is it that she's here now in the same place as me?

Is this fate?

"Sorry about that, things can get quite hectic on set."

"Jimin." Hobi pokes me with his elbow.

"Ah yes, don't worry about it." I smile.

"This way to the green room."

I can't get Layla off my mind, has she always worked in television and film? Does that mean she lied about not knowing me at the beach? Did she approach me on purpose...? No, no, she couldn't have. Her reaction was genuine.

"Here we are. Oh, Hoseok was it? Do you mind if we go over some details for the scene Jimin will be filming this week?" Seo-Yun asks.

"Sure, Jimin I'll catch back up with you in a bit." Hobi pats my shoulder.

"Uh, okay."

I look at the doors to the green room and shake my head. I need to focus, I'm here to work. I open the door and step inside "Ah, hello. My name is Park Jimin and I look forward to working with all of you." I bow my head.

A woman stands from her seat at the table "Nice to meet you, I'm Kim Ha-Yoon."

"I'm Kim Man-Shik." An older looking man at the far end of the table says.

"Hi, I'm Jeong Han-Wool." A man closer to me waves.

"Don't worry the rest of the cast haven't arrived yet, it's just us three at the moment." Ha-Yoon smiles.

I nod my head and take an empty seat at the table. "How old are you Jimin? If you don't mind me asking?" Man-Shik says.

"Oh, I'm twenty-five."

"Waah so young."

"Are you guys much older?"

Man-Shik sighs "Sadly, I'm in my thirties."

"Hey, I'm only twenty-eight," Han-Wool retorts. "What about you Ha-Yoon?"

"A lady never tells her secrets, gentlemen." She grins.

...

A few hours later

"Let's take a fifteen-minute break." Sung-Ho the screenwriter announces.

"Yes please." Han-Wool rubs his eyes.

"Refreshments should be on their way shortly." Sung-ho smiles.

I sigh quietly. I didn't expect the cast to be filled with so many A and B-list actors, Esther Lee who won best soap actress last year is playing the main female lead and Kwon Dae-Seong who has won three best lead awards is playing the main male lead. I did hear that there would be a cameo part from another actor but they didn't mention their name.

"Excuse me, I'm just going to use the bathroom." I exit the room.

Layla is still plaguing my mind. I walk into the small bathroom and I can't help but smile as I think back to that crazy night on the beach. The music, the laughter, the sea it's like I'm right back there with sand between my toes.

My first kiss.

I stroke my fingers over my lips, the heat and softness of her mouth made my body tingle and shiver. I'll never forget the way she approached me first, her abruptness and the way her cheeks turned pink. How the sea breeze ruffled her hair and of course her eyes, her fierce full of wonder eyes.

But after that, she was gone.

I spent days walking along the sea line in hopes of bumping into her again; days turned into months, and now it's nearly been a year since I've seen her.

But now she's here...she's really here.

Why didn't she look for me though? Am I the only one who has feelings?

I shake my head and pat my face with my hands. I shouldn't be focusing on this, I'm here to work not fantasise about a girl.

I freshen myself up and head back to the green room. "Oh, Jimin quick come grab an iced coffee," Man-Shik says.

I look up and it's Layla standing only a few feet away from me. My heart thuds loudly in my chest at the sight of her. She's just as beautiful as that night on the beach, my favourite night.

"Ah, here." She hands me the drink.

My heartbeat is so loud that I can't even think. What should I do? What should I say? What if she doesn't remember? Without even thinking I grab the drink "Oh, thanks." I step away from her.

Was that okay? Should I have said something? I peek over my shoulder to look at her but her face is blank, she...she doesn't remember.

"Looking forward to filming?" Do-Yun, another actor asks.

"Hm? Oh! Yes, it should be fun." I half smile and sip my drink.

"Your last drama was called 'Filter'? Was it not?" I turn and see Esther Lee walking towards me.

I choke on my drink "Yes it was."

"Ah, I heard of it but I didn't get around to watching it. Did you see it, Ms Lee?" Do-Yun asks.

"Oh please just call me Esther," She smiles sweetly. "I loved the series! I thought your acting was superb. Even you're crying scene, I cried too!"

"Oh thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it." A compliment from an A-list actor...wow.

I look over my shoulder again but Layla is gone. I'm sad our reunion ended up like this...I guess everything was just wishful thinking on my end.

We are just strangers.

A/N: Layla and Jimin have been reunited but it hasn't turned out the way they both hoped it would. Will they clear up their misunderstandings? Find out in the next chapter ~
