Three days later
I've decided the best way to stop the rumours circulating about Jimin and me is to avoid him at all costs but...it's getting difficult.
Even though I haven't told Jimin this brilliant plan of mine I know he knows I've been distancing myself from him. I just...I don't want to burden him with this. I mean the rumours haven't explicitly named him, it's only me people are talking about and his job is hard enough without my baggage on top.
I turn the corner catch sight of Jimin and quickly retrace my steps to hide behind the wall. I peek slowly at him but luckily it seems like he hasn't noticed me. That was close.
"After today's shoot there's a radio interview with some of the cast," Hobi says.
"For how long?"
"The interview? Depends I guess?" Hobi shrugs. "I would assume the quickest it would take would be about an hour?" Jimin sighs. "What's up with you? You've been really off the last few days."
Jimin wipes his face with his hand "My schedule is non-stop at the moment...I'm just tired."
Hobi frowns slightly and rubs his neck "Oh, I didn't realise you were finding it so tough...maybe I can free up the weekend for you?"
"Really?" Jimin shines the biggest set of puppy dog eyes at him.
"Uh, sure..."
"Thank you Hobi! You're the best!" Jimin beams at Hobi who looks sheepishly off to the side. Jimin's eyes catch mine and I throw myself backwards.
"Ow!" I crash into someone and land on the floor. "I'm so sor-" I look up, it's Jin. "Oh, it's you."
"Oi, where's my apology? You sent me flying!" He groans and rubs his back.
"Sorry, sorry." I pull him up to stand.
"Why are you jumping back like that anyway?"
"Oh...a bug flew in my face and I panicked."
Jin hardens his stare "Right. Did you pick up that delivery in town?"
"Oh, crap! I'm going now!"
...
"Layla." The Props department team leader calls.
"Yes?"
"Have you had your lunch break yet?"
"Oh, not yet no." As if on cue my stomach rumbles and I feel my cheeks immediately burn.
"You can go now."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I've got a meeting anyway so be back in an hour."
"Okay." I turn on my heel and head towards the food hall. Yes, finally I'm starving!
I exit building A walk over towards building C and hear a familiar tune. An ice cream truck? I skip over to the road to find the truck parked down the road near the park and as I get closer I recognise a familiar figure. "Taehyung?"
He jolts and slowly turns around to face me "Look's like I've been caught." He says sheepishly with a mask covering his mouth. "Oh, it's you."
I chuckle "Getting an ice cream?"
"An Ice lolly actually."
"What flavour?"
"Bubble gum."
"Nice."
"What do you want?" He hums.
"Eh? I can get my own."
