Both heads turned to see a stone-cold Erza Scarlet. She stood with a dark look covering her eyes as she stared down at the two female wizards. Lucy was already shaking in fear as Morana sighed. With the effects of her chaos magic still in effect, Morana knew she had to take it easy.

"Lucy! Morana! I found you!" Happy had finally joined the two females. Why did it take him so long to get to them when he left at the same time Morana did? Who knows.

Happy didn't see Erza until the swordswoman grabbed the blue cat by the tail. The fear that went through the blue cat also ran through the blond. Lucy was not sure what to do but hide behind Morana. The ice dragon was exhausted as she thought of her next move; it didn't help that the woman was covered in black cracks due to her magic.

"Lucy. Morana. Happy. You do know why I'm here, don't you?" Erza calmly spoke. Happy hung by his tail, pale as white.

"To take us back?" Lucy asks, "Promise you won't hurt me." Her words echoed out as Morana kept silent, her head hanging low. Erza's silence was enough to get Lucy to sit beside Morana rather than behind.

"Now, where is Natsu?" Erza asked.

"Listen, I'm sorry we came here without permission, but some really awful things have been happening here on this island! There's this guy and his minions who are trying to revive this demon! Not to mention that the island's villagers are suffering because of it." Lucy looked down. "We just thought that if we worked together, we might be able to help them."

"None of that is my concern." Erza coldly spoke.

"Please, Erza, let us finish this job!" Lucy pleaded with the armored wizard. Morana could hear it in her voice—her desperate plea to do the right thing.

"We can't leave things this way!" Erza drew her sword and pointed it centimeters from Lucy's throat. Lucy couldn't believe what was happening and stared in shock at the woman before her.

"I don't think you understand. You four betrayed Master Makarov. You would be lucky to leave with your lives." Erza stated. Morana grasped the blade tightly as a dark shadow covered her eyes, shocking everyone around her. The blade itself started to crack from Morana's decay magic.

"Whatever punishment there is, I'll take it tenfold. Do not punish Natsu, Lucy, Gray, or Happy." Morana's cold breath was seen as she glared coldly at Erza.

"Morana..." Lucy whispered in shock as the ice dragon placed herself before her.

"Morana, do you not realize what kind of situation you are in?" Erza inquired, baffled by the ice dragon's behavior.

"I have thought this through. I know what I am doing. I could care less if I got thrown into prison. If it means that the others can stay in Fairy Tail, then fine. I will gladly pay the price." Morana kept her cold eyes trained on Erza, who, in turn, would not budge. The cracks in the blade only grew as the seconds turned into minutes.

"I suggest you rethink this decision of yours. Master Makarov and I did a lot of work to keep you out of prison, and you are just going to throw it away like this?!" Erza pushed her blade closer to Morana. Morana's grip on the blade became tighter as a few pieces of metal began to flake off around her hand.

"I knew what was happening on this island. I know the destructive power that can be unleashed. I only came to check and see if Zeref's demon would be set free, but I found that it was in less than a day. I'm free now. I have people that I cherish, and I will not allow that to be taken from me. Even if that means I have to fight you again." Morana's words held nothing but a promise that Erza and Lucy knew to be true. Morana was willing to risk everything if it meant that others were safe.
