They got far enough away from the sounds of roaring dragons clashing against each other fiercely and with no mercy. Happy carried Lucy while Taurus carried Morana right behind them.
Lucy glanced back at Morana with a worried gaze. "Aye, don't worry about them. They're dragon slayers, after all." Happy states confidently.
"Yeah, they are pretty strong," Lucy mumbled, yet she couldn't help but worry about Morana. The ice dragon's condition looked brutal, but it was her mental state that worried her the most.
"Moooo, you shouldn't worry Luuucccy. You got some powerful friends on your side." Taurus adds with a reassuring smile, though he, too, was worried for the ice dragon he was carrying. The black marks on her body were still apparent as her skin was turning paler by the minute. She was scuffed up badly, and bruises started to form all over her body. Flashbacks to when Morana got deathly sick stuck in Lucy's mind as she glanced at the resting dragon. The mages wonder how much longer it will be before Morana collapses.
The group soon found themselves in the main hall of the Phantom Lord Magic Giant. There, they hid behind the rubble of the pillars as they watched Master Jose fight Erza Scarlet. The power was tense as the four of them did their best to stay out of the way. Quickly, they realized the severity of the battle. Erza was bruised as her Black Wing armor was chipping away. Master Jose stood without a scratch as he faced the S-Class mage.
"Aye! It's Erza fighting Master Jose." Happy whispered loudly as he squished himself into Lucy's chest.
If it wasn't for the fact that Lucy was horrified, she would have punched the blue cat, but the terrifying power of the guild master and how hurt Erza was overwhelmed her as she squeezed Happy in fear.
"What?! But Erza took on a full blast from Jupiter! How is she still standing?" Lucy trembled.
"Moooo, Erza is a hot bod, but in her condition, she can't win, " Taurus said, worried.
"Wizard Saints? Bunch of power-hungry bastards who don't understand real power." Morana mumbles as she shifts slightly. Taurus carefully set Morana on her feet as she stumbled slightly before getting to her senses to see the woman she looked up to fighting her best.
"Are you saying you know someone more powerful than Jose?" Lucy asked, almost terrified of Morana's answer.
"There will always be someone more powerful than anyone." She spoke. "Taurus, help me move these large stones. Lucy, Fish Brain, stay down." Morana was devising a plan, and the three of them looked at her with worry and fear about what the ice dragon could possibly think of. Morana was telling Taurus where to move the bits and pieces of rock and stone to clear out a space for her plan.
The mechanical giant shook violently as it crumbled around them. Morana grunted as she steadied herself on a rock while her vision blurred. This wasn't the first time she had run on fumes as she took steady breaths to keep herself going.
"That must be Natsu!" Happy pointed out as Lucy held onto him tightly. Taurus had pulled Lucy towards him to cover her from the falling debris of the building. The blue cat was right, as Morana could barely hear the fire dragon taking out Black Steel Gajeel. But that wasn't her concern. It was getting Lucy out of Phantom Lord's headquarters.
"Our dragons have run quite amuck." Jose chuckles as the ceiling crumbles slowly around the main hall.
"It doesn't seem like you accounted for Natus's battle strength." Erza heaved heavily as she stood before her unconscious guildmates. She aimed her sword at him, "He is just as powerful as I, if not more so!"
