I used zetsu to conceal myself while I followed the Phantom Troupe. I was going to go back to Kurapika, but there was no telling what information I would hear that I didn't need to. Besides, it's a private matter. So I settled on making sure Gon and Killua were okay. They could take care of themselves, that much I was aware of but what if they needed a quick escape? That's why I stuck around.

The Troupe went back to their hide out as the rain came down heavy as I stood in a nearby building watching them. The rain leaked through the cracks in the ceiling which made me uncomfortable to say the least. Rain doesn't bother me, but the constant tap tap tap on my clothes did.

"Tell us where he is." Phinks demanded.

"I refuse to tell you," Pakunoda says, "I will be taking the kids alone. Do not interfere."

"What?!" Phinks yells.

"Go Pakunoda. We'll stop them." The pink haired woman instructs.

"Stop us?" Feitan asks, "are you insulting us?"

The aura changed significantly as they all activated their nen and began to argue with one another.

"Is it so hard to understand?!" Gon suddenly exclaims, "you don't understand why Pakunoda wants to leave without a word and you don't understand why Machi is trying to stop you? You honestly think they're being controlled? It's because they want to rescue your boss! Is it so hard to understand that they want to save a friend?!"

My eyes widened as Phinks told Gon to be quiet. "Are you really that desperate to be spared?"

Chains suddenly clinked and rattled against the stone floor as Gon had broken the chains. He stood up, "I'm not trying to save myself. Take it back!"

Killua then easily broke the chains as well.

I sweat dropped, why do I worry about them again?

"If you've got a problem then come here! The second you take a step, you're dead." Phinks warns.

Oh, that's why.

"Then I won't move an inch! I'm not that stupid!"

Never mind.

"Kurapika isn't that stupid either! No matter how much he hates someone, he wouldn't kill them without mercy! If he makes a promise, he keeps his word! Pakunoda should know this after she met him in person." Gon explains, "if you follow his orders, then he'll return your boss."

"That's enough! I've heard enough from you!" Phinks yells.

"Stop it. Let Pakunoda go." Long ears says.

"Why are you siding with them?!" Phinks continues.

"Shalnark, what would be the worst case scenario right now?" Long ears asks the blonde haired guy.

"Hm...probably that the boss is already dead, and that Pakunoda and the others are being controlled. Also that we can't find the chain user and the other two kids escape." Shalnark infers.

"Wrong. Worst case scenario is that we all die and the Spider's perish. Your scenarios are quite pleasant. However you're being too reliant on the boss. If the Troupe falls as a result then that's the greatest betrayal you could make towards the boss. If we keep bickering, that could happen." Long ears explains, "Pakunoda can take the kids. And if the boss doesn't return...then we kill the members being controlled and we start over."
