A/N: the epilogue is next and with that...the final chapter

YOUR POV:

Returning home to Tallulah Village was a lot harder this time around. The first time I returned,  I knew that within a few months I would be back with Gon and Killua. I would be able to touch them, hear their voices, laugh with them, embrace them. But now I wasn't sure when I would see them next.

I could see them in a week, maybe a month, next year or never again.

That might have been the last time I ever saw them and that thought scared me. There was no telling if one of them would die or get severely injured and placed into a coma. Killua was already injured as it was, that put him more likely to die.

That's another thought that scared me, death.

Sure death was natural and inevitable, but I just saw the two less than a day ago. They were alive and well (sorta), but if something were to happen to them I wouldn't know. Nobody would know.

"Come on, you wanna tell me what happened?" B/N asks me as she pushes my on my cheek ever so slightly.

I shake my head.

"You've been quiet since you came back. And your eyes were bloodshot. I know something happened." She says, "you can't lie to me."

"It's just my brain running is all. I'm okay." I weakly smile.

"Oh stop lying to me. I know something happened. I've known you since we were four years old. I know when my best friend is lying to me." B/N continues. "So just tell me, okay? It'll make you feel better."

I shakily take a breath in, "it's just...I met two wonderful boys while I was away at the Hunter's Exam. Sure I saw them when I left for York New, and when we went to Greed Island but...what if something happens to them?" I ask, "it scares me."

"Did they pass the exam?" B/N suddenly asks.

I nod in confusion, "yeah? But what's that got to—?"

She smiles, "then they're fine! You told me that uh...what's his name...?" She snaps her fingers, "Illumi was an assassin. So he'll be fine."

I crack a smile but try and keep my persona up, "wrong sibling b-but sure."

Her smile breaks, "huh? But I thought you said it was them. That's the one you like right?"

I shake my head, "ew no! I mean, he's got nice hair but that would be pedophilia."

"Didn't you tell me you met a pedophile?" She asks me as I nod. Multiple. "What was the kids name that you liked then?"

"Killua."

"Oh yeah, him. And then there was the other boy...Gan right?" She asks.

"Gon." I correct.

"Oh my bad." She apologizes, "but anyway, my point is that if they passed the exam and one of them is an assassin, I think they'll be okay. So stop worrying about them. They'll be fine."

I groan, "but what if they're not?! What if Gon does something stupid and gets himself killed?!"

"Again, he's a Hunter! He'll be fine. They both will be fine. You need to stop worrying so much." B/N says.

I sigh, "I guess you have a point..."

She smiles, "see? I'm always right. But let's look at it this way, when you came back from the exam and you didn't see them for those few months, they could have died then as well."
