"I apologize for keeping everyone waiting. We will now begin to select players. As everyone knows, you must be able to use Nen for this game. The test will proceed as follows." The man on the stage explained as we all sat and listened to what he had to say.

Today was the day the players would be selected for Greed Island, and today we would be a part of those who had access.

"First we need each applicant to demonstrate their Nen. We will make our decision based on that. The judge for this is the Pro Hunter, Mr.Tsezgerra!"

A man walks onto the stage who happened to be the same guy who told us we would die within a second of being in the game.

We're doomed to fail.

"You will come up one at a time and show me your Ren. A shutter and curtain will block any views of the stage so that other participants cannot see what happens. The moment we have chosen thirty two players is when the test will end." Suddenly a shutter and curtain slowly fall from the top of the stage, making it impossible for us to see anything behind.

"Please step this way to take the test!"

One by one everyone began to hurry to get in line to try out and join the competition.

I shake my hands, "ugh, I'm so nervous! Gon are you nervous?"

"Kind of? But I think I'll do okay. I've been practicing after all." Gon says, "though it does worry me still. We can't slip up."

"Those guys are idiots." A man behind us says as we turn our attention to him. "The ones in line are idiots. They're probably waiting for someone to return so they can ask what's on the other side. If you did your research, use your head. There's no rush."

Killua looks at the line, "they're not choosing thirty two players."

"Exactly. It's been over ten years and nobody has ever cleared the game. And new players can begin if old players are still alive. They basically have to save a few spots in case extraordinary players arrive." The man explains.

"So how many are really available?" I ask.

"Hm.,.maybe twenty? I think those in line have no shot in getting in. Wouldn't you agree?"

Gon activates his Nen but only on his fist which earns our attention.

"You realized what was going on?" Killua asks.

"It was just a hunch." He turns off his Nen, "I thought it was natural that he would want to test everyone here."

"I'm impressed." The man says, "not many people can stick to their ideals.

"Next up!"

The man stands up and introduces himself as Pubat before walking off to have his turn.

"Most people who act like that usually fail." Killua says loud enough for the man to hear.

Gon sweat drops, "you know he can hear you, right?"

"I'm gonna go ahead." Killua says as he stands up.

"Good luck!" Gon exclaims.

"You got this Killua!" I add.

Killua walks away which just leaves Gon and I.

"You think he'll pass?" I ask.

"I think he'll be okay." Gon reassures.

"Next up!"
