And I try to understand why you would do this all to me
You must be insecure, you must be so unhappy
And I know in my heart, hurt people, hurt people
And we both drew blood, but, man, those cuts were never equal

Jessica did show up for cheer, she was a little wobbly and didn't pay much attention for most of the perfomance. Even though Julia and her weren't close anymore, the Sanchez girl did not want Jessica to get kicked off the team.

Julia did the best she could, her left arm was in a sling. She had broken her collarbone over a month ago in a car accident.

"Hey there, Liberty Tigers, it's an exciting day at Liberty High. Our Varsity basketball team is kicking off its pre-season today, the first step on the road to returning to the state finals!" Their Principal announced, the gym cheered. "By Liberty tradition, I'm happy to welcome to the podium the winner of this year's captain's award to introduce the varsity squad." Someone yelled "Walker" from the crowd.

Julia glanced over at Bryce Walker, her face remained the same but her stomach turned. She heard his tape and what he did to Hannah and about a dozen more girls at this school.

"Now this season's winner is co-captain of the football team and the baseball team, and was called "an inspiration to his entire team, friend to all... a tough mother-bleep... and a true born leader, and I am delighted to bestow the Liberty High Captain's Award on Bryce Walker." The crowd cheered again, Julia stayed silent.

She never liked Bryce very much, but now that she knows she despises him. His action were gruesome and as far as she knows he doesn't look like he regrets anything.

He started walking towards the podium where he accepted his award. He proudly showed it off to the crowd which was still cheering. "Thank you, thank you, thank you. Ah, it's an honor, and I'm proud to be a liberty student athlete. Go tigers! Now, this year's starting lineup..." A drumroll erupted from the bleachers and cheerleaders, "Willem Barclay!" And one of the girls, Maya Rodrigo showed off her skills.

Julia got ready, "Zach Dempsey!" She performed her various one handed cartwheels and stunts and ended with a front flip. Zach ran after her waving to the cheering crowd and when he finally caught up to her gave her a side hug. They stayed in that position for a while whilst the yearbook committee took pictures.

"Drew Sanchez!" Bryce announced next. Julia dusted herself off and watched how Jessica only did a cartwheel. The girl stood there waiting for Drew, the cheering faded away when he didn't show up. Julia and Zach shared a glance with each other. Jessica sighed before awkwardly walking towards the other cheerleaders. But she didn't stay for long, she left the gym and from the corner of Julias eye she could see Clay following after her.
