The world's not perfect, but
it's not that bad
If we got each other, and
that's all we have
I will be your brother, and I'll
hold your hand
You should know I'll be there for you

Communications class was fun. Julia actually loved it. It wasn't a class you could fail, not really. It was easy.

"I'm sick of it, you know? Just because I don't have her skinny-ass body doesn't mean I'm fat!" A girl in her class spoke. She stood in front of the entire class next to their teacher. Sheri quickly came to comfort her.

"Maybe she should try a diet." Pratters a guy sitting at Julias table said. Julia scoffed.

  "Seriously, Pratters? Jesus!" Hannah commented.

"I'm just saying, all right, if you're getting fat-shamed, then... you know, don't be fat." He continued talking.

"That's how eating disorders start." Julia said.

"Mr. Pratters!" Their teacher warned him.

Zach then tried to explain it to him, "Pratter's, that's like someone saying to you, "Don't be an idiot and a dickwad." Can't help it."

Julia along with her classmates laughed.

"Exactly. Thank you." Pratters thanked Zach completely missing the point.

  Julia furrowed her eyebrows.

"Totally not on your side, dude." Zach said.

Thankfully the bell rang, and Julia didn't have to hear anything else coming out of Pratters mouth.

"All right, people, so remember the compliment bags." Mrs. Bradley spoke as everybody was packing up their stuff. "Um, it's always best to give a compliment face to face, but sometimes it's easier to be anonymous. All right. See you tomorrow."

Julia quickly put in a couple of notes in a few different bags before exiting the classroom with Sheri. She wrote one note for each of her friends including Hannah. And three to girls she thought had a cute outfit on that day. She didn't check her own though, maybe once a week and by then her bag was filled to the brim with little notes.

There was a basketball game tonight. The second quarter was starting, and some people were still arriving. Julias attention shifted towards Clay who was on the court, he looked like he zooned out. Once he realized that multiple players and coaches were yelling at him, he walked towards the bleachers. Sheri though stopped him in the way.

Julia wondered if the girl knew on what tape he was. She was also wondering what exactly Sheri's plan was. It's not like she can just stop him from listening to her tape or just nicely ask him to skip hers.
