"Julia!" Kat yelled across the room.
"Hold on." Julia told Monty and Scott before her eyes wandered across the room full of people to finally meet Kat's eyes. "Hii!" She practically ran towards the blonde. Julia wrapped her arms around her friend. The two boys watched as she left them midst conversation.
"There's someone that I want you to meet." Kat said with a smile. Julias eyes landed on the unfamiliar face next to her. "This is Hannah Baker, she's new."
"Hi, nice to meet you. I'm Julia Sanchez." Julia gave the girl a warm smile. "I love your shoes, they're cute."
Hannah laughed, "Thank you."
Later that nigh the group of four wandered outside onto the porch. Julia decided to follow along with them instead of continuing her conversation with Monty and Scott. Which was honestly just them subtly flexing all the different sports they were playing.
Outside Justin Foley, Andrew Sanchez and Zach Dempsey just arrive and had made a grande entrance, by getting wet from the sprinklers.
Julia has had a crush on Justin Foley ever since she was little, he was her childhood crush. He's the kind of crush that just never really disappears, anytime one of her relationships didn't work out she'd go back to liking him- in secret, obviously. She would never go for it though, he was dating Kat, and Julia respected that. So she kept her options open, and Zach Dempsey just so happend to be cute enough for her to slowly lay eyes on him.
"Meet the boys." Kat said, "Justin Foley is mine, and you can choose between Zach Dempsey or Andrew Sanchez." Julia grinned and took a sip out of her beer.
"Zach Dempsey? Really?" Clay asked. It was clear to Julia and Kat that the boy had developed a liking to Hannah.
"What? Zach's sweet?" Kat told him and the four watched as Justin hit him right in the face. "Okay, yeah, he's kind of dumb, but he's the sweet kind of dumb, which is the best kind."
"Actually you might only have one option left, which is my brother, so sorry." Julia nudged the girl beside her.
Kats eyes widend, "Wait what?" A smile made it's way onto her face.
Julia grinned before a laugh escaped her lips, "I'm kidding! But for real, Drew's a good guy." The girls eyes shifted from Kat to Hannah.
Kat moved towards the guys on the floor and started clapping, "Yes. Liberty High's star athletes, ladies and gentlemen. So impressive. Sorry, boys. Can't have you in Hannah's house soaking wet."
"Seriously?" Justin asked, him, Drew and Zach were dripping wet. Justin looked at Julia for help, thinking she'd back them up.
"Sorry- no can do." She put her hands up in surrender.
Justin took his shirt off, "Better?"
Julia glanced towards Kat, who answered him, "Improvement, for sure, but sorry, it's still a no-go."
"Come on! It's not a party without us." Zach complained.
"Yeah!" Drew added on.
"Tough luck." Julia replied grinning before disappearing inside the house again.
"We'll take our chances. Go dry off." Kat told them.
"Your loss, milady." Justin pointed towards his girlfriend.
"Idiots. I cant even..." Kat and Clay walked back in, Hannah took a moment but followed after them.
