Thank you, CatStyles183 for the name ideas!

Name - Shymoon

Past names - Shypaw, Shykit

Gender - Female

Sexuality - Pan

Age - 16 moons

Rank - Warrior (Peacekeeper/Caretaker)

Clan - RiverClan

Parents - Mothflower, a fawn tortoiseshell she-cat with blue eyes and Stormtail, a black and grey patched tom with green eyes

Sibling - Darkflight, a grey tom with green eyes

Former Mentor - Reednose - a fawn striped tom with brown eyes that's deaf in one ear

Apprentice - Silentpaw - a deaf white she-cat with piercing blue eyes and light ginger paws

Personality - Shymoon is diligent and not afraid to speak up. Although she hates actually speaking and lip-reading and prefers to communicate through vibrations or motions. Being around many cats can be stressful for her as there will be lots of vibrations going on, so she has never gone to a gathering. When there's too many vibrations going on, she sometimes pitter-patters her paws on the ground in order to let the rhythm calm her down. (If she was a human, she'd definitely be a musician.) Shymoon loves kits and helps queens raise theirs, along with never hesitating to mentor Silentpaw, teaching her to be a peacekeeper as well as basic hunting and defence. She loves Silentpaw (who, ironically, is anything but silent. Although she doesn't speak, Silentpaw tends to be constantly squeaking, yelping, purring or hissing) and would die for the young cat.

Life as a Kit - Very soon after Shymoon was born, her parents knew she was deaf. While her father reacted by letting her mother deal with that, and taking care of her brother, Darkflight. However her mother obsessed over finding ways to make Shymoon's life easier, and communicate with the young kit. Mothflower worked with Reednose (a cat that retired early due to losing hearing in one ear) through Shymoon's kithood to develop communication based on a mix of vibrations and movements, along with teaching her how to properly speak (Shymoon had sort of caught on the shapes cat's mouths made when they formed certain words, but she had a rough time with it) and lip-read. The clan accepted her, but would not let her become a normal apprentice since her life would constantly be in danger.

Life as an Apprentice - Shymoon, becoming an apprentice mainly mentored by Reednose, but her mother and the medicine cat helped, was being trained for multiple things. To take care of kits if queens needed help or if said kits needed a mother, to be a peacekeeper as clans were quickly beginning to develop that role, and some basic hunting and fighting skills, a similar amount to what medicine cats would be taught, but in a very different way. At this point, Shymoon could communicate fluently through vibrations and common words in movement. She could lip-read most words but still struggled with speaking, and had a stutter that never went away. Later in Shymoon's apprenticeship, Silentpaw was born, and Shymoon immediately felt a connection to the young kit.

Life as a Warrior - Shymoon was made an official peacekeeper/caretaker at 12 moons old, right as Silentpaw was apprenticed. While Shymoon was a very inexperienced mentor, and not the best at teaching, she was able to get Silentpaw to learn her communication fairly early on with the help of Reednose, and mentoring Silentpaw got easier from there. Shymoon helped her brother raise his kits (wait—is helping your sibling raise their kits weird? I don't think so but... it sounds kinda wrong) shortly after Silentpaw was given her full name (peacekeepers work kinda like medicine cats with naming, as even when they're fully named they still are an apprentice until the other one dies, also, Silentpaw was never that great with kits so she never became a caretaker), as the kit's mother ran off with a rogue.

Other - She is mostly deaf
