-BLAIRE'S POV-
The next day, it was as if the world still revolved around us.
Tom was hungover, but even so, he was as sweet as yesterday
I was alone in the cafeteria, the others still asleep, probably still in the bath from last night's party. Tom had gone outside for a cigarette.
I sipped my coffee and wrote a few notes on my computer.
Eventually, the boy makes his entrance. He approaches me, wrapping his arms around my shoulders. His lips touch my cheeks. My smile widens.
Tom
- Hello again.
he says, resting his head on my shoulder.Blaire
- Hello again.
I say, taking my eyes off my screen to look at him.He looks exhausted.
Blaire
- How are you? You look exhausted.Tom nods gently.
- I'm fine... I've got a hangover.
he says, chuckling.I smile softly, his voice telling me something's wrong, but I don't want to force it.
Chris enters the cafeteria. His hair is a mess and he's rubbing his eyes as if he's just woken up.
Blaire
- Ugh, the face.Chris
- Shut your mouth.
he says, settling down beside me. He grabs my coffee cup with his right hand.Blaire
- Hey... It's my coff-I don't have time to finish my sentence before he drinks it in one gulp. I shrug and sigh.
- I didn't say anything...Tom snickers again next to my ear.
Chris
- This afternoon, we're previewing a game of "Reden".I'm wide-eyed.
- Already?Chris nods.
- You've worked so hard on it, it's almost finished. We've still got a few things to polish up.Tom
- So this afternoon, our song will be premiered?Chris nods again.
- That's right. The whole world will know that Germany's two best bands have collaborated together.
he says, almost with stars in his eyes.- I think most fans are expecting it, but I think it's still going to be an incredible surprise.
I smile, glancing at Tom, who is already watching me.
Chris
- By the way, Tom, Marc told me to tell you that tomorrow morning you've got an interview around 10 o'clock.Tom sighs, looking up at the sky.
- 10 o'clock?! Seriously...Chris
- Work it out with Marc. C'est pas mon problème.
He says in a mixed French accent.------
-TOM'S POV-
The last time I saw John was when he talked to my brother. In fact, Bill and I hadn't even broached the subject yet.
After that, we didn't really have time to talk about it alone.
It's when I see him smoking a cigarette, alone, at the back of the building, that I decide it's time.
I step in front of him, his dark eyes meeting mine. Smoke slowly leaves his mouth as he rests his back against the wall.
Tom
- You know why I'm standing in front of you.
