"Hihi Beomgyu!"
"Why isn't it my favorite elf, what can I get ya today?" Mr. Finn asked. Beomgyu and Taehyun went shopping while leaving the other three at the cabin. "Cinnamon rolls, chocolate chip cookies, buns, and sugar cookies please!" The elf said, paying Mr. Finn in the process. "Of course, give me 5 minutes." Mr. Finn went to the back, leaving Beomgyu and Taehyun to wait. Taehyun was in his bat form, just chilling on the elf's shoulder.
It has been a week since they met Yeonjun, and it was actually going great! Yes they did let him back in the ocean, to which he got scolded by Yeji but it was worth it. He hasn't tried to kill them yet so that was also a great sign. He has also started to warm up to them, he'd visit often and stay over until he needed to head back. Though Soobin was the only one who hasn't fully trusted him yet, Beomgyu likes to tell him 'Maybe he doesn't wanna kill us' or something like that. "Alright here ya go." Mr. Finn came back out, giving the elf what he requested. "Thanks! Cya!" Beomgyu walked out the store, and continued on. Only to get stopped by someone though.
"Heyy Beomgyu." (Oh look another irrelevant character yay)
A girl stopped Beomgyu in his tracks, oh man here we go again. "Hey there Nicole, do you need anything..?" The elf turned to look at Taehyun, whose head was titled in confusion. "Oh nothing! Just wanted to say hi is all. Say, are ya busy today?" Nicole leaned in closer to Beomgyu, who was clearly uncomfortable during this whole interaction. "Yeah.. I am actually, sorry." He simply replied and was about to walk away until; "Why don't I help? Surely I won't be much of a bother. I can even go to your house if needed." She said, damn she's really trying today. "Thanks, but no thanks. I'm all good Nicole, I don't need help at all." Beomgyu saw her huff before turning around to walk away. "Wait!" She stopped him, oh god. "Hm?" "Are you at least free later?" Silence.. And then Taehyun spoke up; "Beomgyu I'm getting hungry let's go already." The bat just wanted food, and it was obvious. "Oh right, later Nicole" And the elf was off!
....
"Did that bat just TALK?!!?"

"I'm home!" Beomgyu's voice echoed through the house, walking into the kitchen to start unpacking. "Hi!" The angel walked out Soobin's room, with the fae behind him. "COOKIES!" Heuning practically jumped Beomgyu for those cookies. which caused Taehyun and Soobin to laugh. "Where's Yeonjun?" The vampire asked, looking around the room. "He's asleep in your room Tae, shouldn't be a surprise." Soobin said, also grabbing a cookie and eating it. "You know he sleeps a lot for a siren." "Who said sirens can't sleep?" "Do sirens even sleep underwater?" Kai started to continuously ask questions that none of them could answer.
Just then the said siren walked out the room, yawning and stretching. "Oh good morning" Kai joked, knowing it was late afternoon by now. "Hi, oh cookies." The siren also took a cookie and ate it. "Ok- I just bought these slow down!" Beomgyu yelled, causing the others to laugh.
Bought an hour later and Beomgyu made a full course meal for everyone. "Yumy!" Kai said, eating the food the elf made. They all ate, with some small talk here and there (mostly about dumb shit). They laughed and enjoyed their meals.
"Thanks 'Gyu! That was good." Kai said happily, with the others doing the same. "Ah you're welcome guys." Beomgyu was washing the dishes after all of the food they ate. They all went their own ways after that, Kai said he had to head back up due to something urgent so he left. Soobin went to take a nap himself and Taehyun went hunting for animals (blood obviously). So it was just now Beomgyu and Yeonjun alone in the living room, Beomgyu was cleaning the kitchen as Yeonjun sat on the couch watching whatever was on the TV. Though that's when the siren said something out of context.
"That's gay."
Beomgyu choked on air before turning to look at Yeonjun. "WHAT'S GAY?" The elf said, causing the older to laugh. "Nah whatever the fuck is playing right now, talking about some bromance and shit. It's gay as fuck." The siren laughed, causing Beomgyu to mentally face palm. "Aish, you made me lost for a second- do you normally just say whatever?" The elf was now sitting down beside the other, who turned to him. "Yeah, though usually other sirens don't give a single fuck. Like I can say something bat shit crazy and they wouldn't even care." Yeonjun said, watching as Beomgyu nodded before sitting back to watch the TV as well. They both sat in comfortable silence watching the TV, laughing and saying small comments about the show.

'Did Yeonjun just-' Beomgyu turned to look at Yeonjun, who was already staring at him doe eyed. "Wh- what was that for?" The elf questioned, to which the siren just tilted his head. "What do you mean?" DAMN DOES HE NOT BLINK OR WHAT- "That random kiss? What was that for?" Now Beomgyu is not saying he didn't like it, it was more of random considering he did it out of the blue. "Oh.. It was a little bit of appreciation is all. Why?" He was still staring at the elf doe eyed, honestly BLINK. "A hug would be better? I mean doing that to the wrong person can give them wrong ideas you know." Said the elf, causing the siren to FINALLY blink in confusion. "So you don't do that to your other friends? I do it all the time with mine-" "Exactly, I don't. But you do." Beomgyu said, causing the siren to move to the other side of the couch. To which is not what he wanted to happen. "Ah- No Yeonjun you can come back, I'm not mad. Just saying that stuff up here is different than underwater." He scooted towards Yeonjun, who turned to look at him.
"What's the difference?" Yeonjun said. Beomgyu responded; "Well, showing appreciation to your friends is like giving them gifts, hugs, hang out with them, and more. Just no kissing or anything romantic." Yeonjun nodded, continuing on. "And about the kissing and romantic stuff?" He asked. "That's like when you're in love with someone, you want them to be with you and become their lover. Giving affection through kisses, small gifts and such. They're both similar, the difference is that one is platonic and the other is romantic. You don't casually give your friend a kiss on the cheek daily ya know?" The elf explained, to which Yeonjun nodded again. Understanding what he said and taking it in. "I see." He simply said, to which Beomgyu laughed. "You don't gotta feel ashamed about not knowing, you do live underwater in the ocean so I'm not surprised stuff down there is different than here on land." Beomgyu said, to which Yeonjun giggled a bit. "True." The siren said, but before falling back into a comfortable silence he asked one more question.
"What is love?"
