Or even encountering one?
A boat was casually sitting in the mist of the sea. In it was a fisher man, getting packed up so he could head back to shore. Though his plans will change.
Before he could even start the engine he heard a sudden voice. The voice was low yet heavenly, causing the man to get hooked immediately.
He started following the voice, which ended with him falling off the boat into the water. The man started swimming towards the voice, not knowing it'd lead to his demise. He swam 'til he saw a figure, and with no thought he went towards the figure. And as soon as he got close..-
SPLASH!
The said figure lunged forward, grabbing the man and pulling him into the water. Within seconds the man was dead from the figure squeezing him with its tail. The man lied limp in the figure's hold, making the figure have a great way to eat him.

"Oh c'mon 'Gyu! You sure? What if-"
"Ohmygod- SHUT THE FUCK UP! No one is gonna think you're weird Kai!"
Beomgyu turned the younger, who stood there with an unreadable look on his face.
"No one is gonna notice you like that, what would make you think that anyway? We are going there due to a sudden murder." Beomgyu explained.
Kai just sighed, "Fine, let's go."
Recently a sudden murder has happened, and the two of them were curious. Considering murders were rare this was something they wanted to have an insight on. So these two little shits made their way to the village to see what was up.
As they walked through the village it was clear that people were worried about the murder. From friends whispering to kids questioning their parents. The two continued through when-
"Hey guys!"
"Oh- Hey Ashley."
Ashley ran up to them, catching her breath before continuing.
"So I'm guess you heard huh?"
"Yep."
The 3 of them started a casually conversation, debating on how the murder happened and who did it. Coming up with theories as well to understand the situation. A woman found the upper half of the man laying on the shore, with the boat beside the body. The rest of the body was unknown. Now thinking logically he could have gotten bitten by a shark, though sharks never come around such cramped areas. And sharks usually end up eating a human whole so it obviously wasn't that.
"I brought this up to Nicole but she seem confused. I guess you haven't brought up Yeonjun to her yet hm?" Ashley leaned towards Beomgyu, waiting for a response.
"No, I haven't gotten the time to introduce her to him yet... Wait did you tell her he was-"
"A siren? No, I actually kinda forgot about that sooo." She shrugged with a sheepish smile on her face.
Beomgyu let out a breath before thinking; maybe it was a siren..? It's not like they can ask the already dead man about it, considering no one was around at the time. Though it did make sense.
