Crickets croke through the night
As others sleep in delight.
Calm waves splash
And bushes thrash.
Though not all things are asleep...
He followed the elf through the long grass, having thick branches and leaves in his way, with bushes that rattle at every step. He seems to always regret agreeing at the last minute

The vampire sighed as he still followed the other. The harvest, a common thing all elves do during March to May. He doesn't know what it's for, nor does he know what they're harvesting, but it's a thing.
He pushed past a few more branches before being met with a huge field of.... Mushrooms???
No not normal mushrooms.
Infact it was many types, edible ones, poisonous ones, magical ones- you name it!
He didn't really expect it to be just mushrooms though?? He was thinking about crops like wheat and corn. Though his thoughts were cut short by the sound of his friend.
"Cmon Taehyun!"
"Coming! "
Taehyun followed Beomgyu to a small bed of these blue-purple mushrooms. The vampire looked confused as the other jumped in glee.
"I'm so glad they're back this season! It's been 3 years since we had blue fungi, these usually help with insane sicknesses. "
Beomgyu exclaimed as he picked a few, placing them neatly into his crochet side bag. Taehyun just hummed and nodded along as the older male explained more.
"Oooh!! Green Lumbershrooms, these help with skin rashes like sun burn, itchiness, and more! OH OH! And Pink Spotted mshrooms help with simple sicknesses, though its usually used if its been longer than a normal cold or fever should last. "
Taehyun enjoyed listening to the other, smiling as the elf beamed in delight. Even though he was tired that elf still manages to always make him happy. Did I mention it's midnight?
He watched as the elf picked different mushrooms, placing them into his bag, and dancing to another bed of shrooms.
Beomgyu skipped to the other with a huge smile,
"Cmon, I have one more bed to pick from! "
He grabbed the vampire's hand, dragging him to the opposite side of where they were. They were now at the very far end of the field, staring down at the last bed.
"Glowing White Cranberry, "
He leaned down and started picking the glowing fungi.
"These are called that be when in use, the white glow turns into a cranberry one. These are consumable and easy to apply. However you can only get these when the time is right. "
He stood back up as he finished picking, turning to the other.
"Which is currently now! "
Beomgyu beamed a smile at Taehyun, to which he smiled back.
