After their satisfying meals, Branden, Max, Antonio, and Enzo decided to leave the forest together, forming an unexpected camaraderie. Stomping out the fire, Branden, the perceived fragile one, quelled their concerns, and they set out to exit the forest, engaging in lively conversations about their diverse races.
As they walked, Branden shared insights into his human culture, describing a ruler and advisers who dictated various aspects of their lives. The exchange of knowledge continued, shedding light on their distinct eating habits, hunting practices, and social structures.

After hours of traversing the forest, darkness descended upon them. Exhausted, they found themselves back at the village. Opting to stay at the inn, each got their own room this time. Concerned for Branden's safety, Max, Antonio, and Enzo strategically positioned their rooms around his, forming a protective barrier.
Later that night, Max approached Branden's room to check on him. To his surprise, the door was ajar. Silently peeking in, he discovered Branden clutching his swollen ankle, seemingly on the verge of tears from the pain. Branden, engrossed in conversation earlier, had almost forgotten about his injury.

Antonio and Enzo, alerted by Max, rushed to Branden's room. Witnessing the severity of his hurt foot, they became frantic. As Branden tried to hide his injury with the blankets, they gently uncovered it, revealing an ankle twice its normal size. Concerned and caring, the three men collectively tended to Branden's injured ankle. Overwhelmed by pain and exhaustion, Branden gradually succumbed to drowsiness, finding solace in a deep sleep under the watchful eyes of his newfound companions. The night unfolded not only as a time for physical healing but also as an opportunity for the bonds between them to strengthen further.
