Their descent into the abyss concluded with their feet hitting the solid ground, a newfound sense of caution settling in as the oppressive silence enveloped them. The companions, Max, Antonio, Enzo, and Branden, instinctively formed a defensive formation, standing back-to-back to cover all angles. The tension in the air was palpable, with all four of them on high alert.

In the dimly lit space, Max, Antonio, and Enzo seemed more vigilant than Branden, who was still processing the change in their surroundings. Before he could voice his thoughts, a loud bang echoed through the confined space, prompting Enzo to speak up, "It seems there's a small passageway. I don't know where it might lead, but I believe we should follow it. I don't want to be stuck here for the rest of my very long life." The others swiftly agreed, and without hesitation, they followed Enzo through the narrow passage. Enzo led the way, with Branden, Antonio, and Max following in single file.

The passageway was box-shaped, as if carved out of the surrounding stone walls. Its initial size forced all four companions to crawl, but gradually, it expanded, allowing them to walk with ease. The passage twisted and turned, ascending and descending multiple times, creating a disorienting labyrinth. Yet, they pressed on, determined to unravel the mystery that lay ahead. The anticipation grew as they wondered what kind of challenge awaited them, considering the cryptic nature of the enchanted forest.

Finally, the passageway led them to an exit—a small opening that required a brief crawl before revealing a spacious cave. It offered a welcome respite from the confinements of the passage. Branden, recalling the giant's words about challenges, speculated that this might be another test, perhaps centred around quick decision-making. The choices they had made during the fall played in his mind, realising how each decision held its own difficulty.

As the companions emerged into the larger cave, they noticed writing on the wall. Branden, with a sense of duty, read aloud, "Dear adventurers, travelers, and merchants, you have completed the 4th out of 5 challenges. Please continue to the next challenge to leave the enchanted forest." Observing that the others struggled to decipher the writing, Branden shared the information aloud to spare them any self-consciousness about their education.

Antonio, with a keen eye, spotted an arrow on the wall. However, Enzo, wary of potential traps, halted Antonio before he could investigate further. Enzo tossed a rock toward the arrow, only to witness it incinerated in an instant. The group exchanged glances, understanding that this challenge required caution and careful consideration.

Proceeding to the other side of the dimly lit room, the companions were taken by surprise as a door materialised before them. Towering, made of wood and iron, with a rusty handle, it presented an enigma that provoked speculation about what lay beyond. As they grappled with their thoughts, fate loomed, ready to unfurl the next layer of challenges that awaited them.
