In the midst of their sprint, Max has an epiphany. The reason behind the shared room becomes clear—it was a strategic move to keep a watchful eye on both Branden and Max.
Before Max can delve deeper into this revelation, his thoughts are interrupted by a floating figure. The figure, adorned with pitch-black hair, blood-red eyes, and tanned skin, presents a stark contrast to the platinum blond hair and emerald green eyes of the werewolf.
Locked in a momentary gaze, the werewolf and the vampire share a connection before a sudden creak pierces the air. The werewolf undergoes a rapid transformation, morphing into a wolf, losing control, and ferociously attacking the demons. The vampire, drawn by the hypnotic allure of blood, skillfully slashes the demons' necks, ensuring not a single one escapes its fangs.
In a breathtaking display, the noble dragnia embraces its draconic heritage. A cocoon of scorching flames envelops Max as he transforms into a dragon, incinerating the remaining demon corpses into ash. The spectacle leaves Branden awestruck, his mouth agape at the brutal reality of the outside world.
Overwhelmed by the gruesome scene, Branden crumples to his knees, on the verge of tears. Max, reverting to his human form, approaches Branden, intending to console him. However, Branden recoils in fear, his eyes betraying the dread that Max might harm him if he gets too close.
Max, puzzled by Branden's fear, grapples with the stark contrast in their perspectives—survival in the face of danger is routine for Max, while Branden grapples with the harsh reality he has just witnessed in the outside world. The encounter leaves both men at a crossroads, navigating the complexities of fear, survival, and the harsh truths that lie beyond the enchanted forest.
