"Did we do it?" Honami was the first to speak up after the camera stopped rolling. Everyone was worried something went wrong, but they all knew they had just as much fun as a concert usually was, so everyone didn't mind too much if the camera didn't work. Saki said her goodbyes to the others, took the camera, and made her trip home. She realized that the way home was a lot faster without anyone interacting with her, but she didn't like the quiet more than a quick trip home. Saki opened the front door, and put the camera in the garage, right next to the door. Saki was trying to decide what to have for an evening snack when she heard a knock at the door. It was Tsukasa and Toya, and they seemed like they wanted something. They all sat down, and Saki was immediately bombarded with questions, none of them were even comprehensible, thanks to the other's questions as well. Saki stopped the two of them, eventually, but they both wanted answers to one thing in particular.
"You have a SEKAI Saki?!?" The tension in the roomed quickened trice-fold, as everyone realized something important. Saki knew this would've happened sooner or later, Rui even warned her beforehand. Saki should've listened. Saki called up Rui, despite Tsukasa's attempts to stop her.
"He would be asleep by now Saki. There's no reason or point to call him-"
"Hey Saki, it's me. Did they find out the truth?" Tsukasa seemed to stop talking after Rui got called up, but Saki needed Rui here, sooner rather than later.
"I need you over here, now would be good. I need someone to explain this to them and you're the best I know."
"Aw, you're making me blush ♥. But seriously, I'll be there in a jiffy." Not moments later, Rui walks out of the garage, wearing an outfit that looks more like someone in a retirement home would be wearing rather than a high schooler. But Rui was covered in oil, and the outfit clearly was his mechanical outfit, it has seen better days. Rui takes off his outfit revealing his impossibly clean clothes underneath before taking a seat with the other two. And there they were, the four of them at 12:43. They all knew someone had to start the conversation, and everyone knew who it was going to be.
"Well, if nobody is going to speak up, I will." Rui scoots his chair back and takes the camera from the garage and places it against a wall.
"Welcome to PALMER'S Palaver, the slideshow that will explain everything!!!"
"Um..." Toya raised his hand, "what's a palaver?" A dictionary was thrown at Toya, hitting him right on the nose. His chair couldn't handle the book's speed, and Toya slammed into the floor. Tsukasa checked Toya while Saki watched in interest, and fear. 'We should've done this immediately the morning.' But Saki already knew the cat was out of the bag, no reason to try to get it back in now. Rui cleared his throat, and continued his slideshow.
The slideshow was horrible. The text was always off-kilter, except for the title. The colors failed to match up to each other, even a little bit. Tsukasa almost passed out from how much he was screaming in terror, and Toya... well if someone made a stone statue of him and set him up right on that chair, nobody would have known the difference. He was frozen in fear, and only Saki made it through, using the foreknowledge she saw with just a peek at Rui's phone before the two of them left the room that morning. By the time Rui was done explaining, Tsukasa and Toya were on the floor, unconscious. And Rui was the only one who could make coherent thoughts. Saki and Rui carried the bodies to their respective beds, and Saki stumbled into her room just before she goes to sleep. Saki dry swallowed her pills before laying face down on her bed. Saki wondered where Rui was, but she didn't mind that much. It was 2:43 and she had a huge day today, she just needed sleep.
