Toya wished he didn't set his alarm. Toya wished he didn't stay up until 2 in the morning learning about SEKAI's he wasn't apart of. Toya wished he didn't wake up at 4 in the morning just because of the absurdity of the past few days. But Toya knew wishing on a star only brought Tsukasa to talk to him, and there were no wells or fountains nearby to throw coins into, so Toya picked up a nearby block of wood, and chucked it at the alarms incessant ringing. Luckily it hit the alarm clock straight on the mark. It seems Toya still has his aim. Why was that woodblock there, anyways? Toya moved his hand to nearby lamp on his table, and the room illuminated itself.
Toya noted to himself how Rui must've spent the entire time changing out pipes and wires, and Tsukasa spent his time decorating and building up the walls. Toya also noticed the shelves snd a TV set up for him. The video game console was already plugged in. The desk was quickly made and quite simplistic, sitting across from the tv, with only a drawer to its name, but it would be more than enough for homework and maybe writing music.
He felt that pain whenever he thought about writing music, it was like a cramp in his heart. Toya pulled himself together, and get ready for the day. The clock showed 8:30 when Toya was finished dressing for today. He sat on his bed and put on his shoes and leaned on his wall, before realizing something.
These walls were made of cardboard, and the doors are just that with some different paint thrown on it. Toya would've been at least a little mad and felt cheated, but this was the Tenma's who worked on it. He was surprised when he got more than a pillow fort, so the cardboard walls have to be temporarily for the time being, until Toya finds a more permanent home to stay in.
Toya moved from his room to the dining room, to already see Tsukasa hard at work making pancakes for them. Toya walked into the kitchen, and helped out Tsukasa with the smaller things, setting the table, getting drinks for everyone, moving dishes to the table. After Tsukasa and Toya were done, the parents and Saki were at the table, taking their share of pancakes, eggs, and bacon. The pancakes smelt like sweet vanilla and their taste would have brought Akito to tears. The eggs were fluffier than clouds and the bacon tasted like drinking maple syrup. The conversations at the dinner table felt livelier than ever before he was with him.
After breakfast, Toya decided that he and Saki would figure out who else has a SEKAI, but the question had to first be asked, if it was possible for another person to enter who isn't apart of their group. Toya brought Saki outside to where the Street SEKAI was, and tried anything that could work. He tried moving to song to her phone and have her play it, but it didn't work, so he needed to do something else. Hours passed, and they weren't getting any progress. It felt all was at a loss, when Saki presented a suggestion.
"Maybe we could hold hands? Since the SEKAI brings you into it, maybe if you hold hands with someone it could bring them in too?" Toya considered it, and realized that he couldn't disagree with it, so they tried it.
Toya held Saki's hand as he started playing the song, and the familiar wave washed over him. And in a blink of an eye, the world changed, but was Saki there too? He looked, and there she was. She was taking the view in, the graffiti, the red hue of the world, the colors, the flavors, all mixing into this SEKAI.
Toya texted Kohane, asking her to be here in a few minutes. She knew the most about local bands, and even said she was one of the people to show up to WxS first event. Toya knew that Saki had questions, but right now, there was one person who could help.
And just as he turned another corner, the Crase Cafe revealed itself. Toya smiled, just a bit, when he saw the Virtual Singers there. All of them, living their lives here, their simple lives of coffee related issues put him at ease, because this was always a constant for him.
Toya and Saki walked inside to see KAITO ordering something from MEKIO, who's writing it down on paper. The both of them looked up then the small bell rang, and greet the two with excitement and joy.
"Ah! It's very nice to see you again, Toya!" MEKIO was the first to greet him, but her expression changed when Saki walked in.
"Who is this person? I can tell they aren't apart of the band." MEKIO wasn't mad, she was confused and happy nevertheless to get orders from the both of them for drinks. Toya ordered his usual and Saki ordered a smoothie, one of the special items on the menu today. Afterwards the two of them took a seat and MEKIO with KIATO continued their conversations.
"I was a little worried there, but I'm glad it ended up well." Saki said to Toya, taking her needed sigh of relief. Toya let Saki continue to enjoy the atmosphere, but Toya noticed something odd about her.
"Saki, why are you wearing a sweatshirt?" Toya felt confused why Saki would wear something like that in this temperature, but Saki shook her head and only replied:
"A sweatshirt? I know I was wearing a long sleeve shirt, but you're not the person to mistake... a... sweatshirt?" Saki looked at her outfit, only to find that she was wearing a sweatshirt. She excused herself and ran off to the nearby restroom, and just as she ran off, Kohane entered the cafe. She said her hellos and asked where Toya was, when Toya made himself present. Kohane ran over, after ordering her drink, and apologized for being so late.
"So, did you find a nice restaurant for me and An to hang out at?" Toya and Kohane usually talk with An's dad, Ken, when An and Akito are arguing about this or that. Kohane and Toya used to try to stop their arguments, before giving up that idea. Now, the three of them talk about places their significant other would like. Ken knows the hidden, behind the alley restaurants that suite Toya's taste, while Kohane knows a good amount of restaurants that serve good cheesecake. Toya knows about the fancy restaurants, thanks to that man forcing him to meetings. Toya knows An has a soft spot for local restaurants as well, so he brings up the ones that he and Akito go to. Kohane also talks to Ken about how she and An's relationship is going, because Ken always wants An to be the best she can be.
"No, I'm not here to ask about restaurants or the rest of VBS. I want to know who you know that are in other bands."
"W-what? Other bands? Why do you need to know that?"
"Well, I was hoping to explain it to you with someone else, but they're busy right now."
"Is it An?" Kohane's cheeks started turning a soft red as she repositioned her hat.
"No, it isn't An, but they are a member of a band." Toya knew that Saki would appear sooner or later, and it felt anticlimactic to just say that it was Saki who was here.
"If it isn't An who's here, and if it isn't Akito either, then who is it?" Saki ran out of the restroom and took her seat, glaring at Toya. "Do you know why I'm wearing this, because this is not the weather for it. Wait why even are we here? Are we waiting for someone or...?" Toya knew Saki didn't see Kohane, after all she still had a small scowl on her face while Kohane looked like she just met Santa. Toya knew this was going to be a very interesting conversation for the three of them.
