The written portion of the entrance exam was easy enough for Izumi and Katsumi. The greenette had always excelled at "nerd stuff", as her best friend had put it, and the ash blonde would never admit to it but she took the time she needed to study enough to be within the top five of her class. Now the two girls sat beside each other in an auditorium filled with hundreds of other hero course applicants, the others had been filter off to other sections of the school at some point, in nervous silence. They could feel the pressure of their dreams and perhaps even more so their promise to their idol. Yet that didn't stop them from feeling a sense of excitement well up within themselves.
"Oh my gosh I wonder what we'll be doing? The brochure says robots but what if that's just to throw us off. There could be hidden things too that they'll look out for. Oh man I don't know if I prepared anything for emergency cases. Will they fail me because I'm unprepared?"
Katsumi sighed at Izumi who had been quietly muttering to herself ever since they sat down. The poor girl hadn't even noticed when Present Mic began the presentation and was slowly explaining the contents of the brochure and upcoming practical exam. It showed just how nervous the greenette was and Katsumi was about to comfort her best friend when what looked like a blue berry with glasses stood up and shouted.
"You with the green hair in the back it is very disruptive to others when you keep muttering like that!"
Izumi was so envelopes in her own mind she didn't even register that someone was talking to her.
"If you're here to mess around I suggest you leave. The rest of us are trying our best-"
"Oh shut up will you!" Katsumi had enough of the teen and interjected, "She's just nervous so back off. Besides if it was truly disruptive Present Mic would have asked her to stop. So why don't you spend more time on listening to the presentation instead of watching the people around you four-eyes!"
"Alright Little Listeners I like the energy but let's tone it down and get back on topic so we can use that energy for the exam!" Present Mic chuckled nervously as he tried his best to calm the two participants.
"This year is going to be a tiring one."

"Hey you okay?"
Izumi looked up to find herself standing with a small group of kids in front of what looked like the walls of a fortress. The two iron doors that went as high as the walls themselves had "A" painted across them. Standing beside her was Katsumi with a bemused expression.
"Wait why are we outside," Izumi felt as if she had missed something very important, "weren't we waiting for the presentation."
Katsumi tried her best not to laugh, "That ended like 15 minutes ago. You did the muttering thing again and I had to drag you with me, you're lucky we have the same exam site. Although I'll be the one to get all the points so don't even bother trying."
"Was it robots like the brochure?" Izumi sensed a declaration of challenge in her friend's smug statement.
"Yeah and apparently the one that said 0 points is just some kind of obstacle to avoid if it even shows up," Katsumi was glad to see the greenette out of her nervous stupor.
"Everyone at the ready!"
Present Mic's booming voice nearly blew out the P.A. speakers.
"Doors open in 3..."
The two girls gave each other one last glance before they looked away with smirks.
"2!"
Izumi unraveled her blindfold and made a mental note to thank whoever decided to make a test skewed towards combat oriented quirks. After all if it was a point based system that recorded the amount of robots you destroyed there was virtually no way she would fail.
"1!"
All she needed was to see her targets.
"GO!"

The battlefield in Test City A was chaos as participants slowly devolved in desperation while scouring for any robots that managed to survive the invisible massacre. The normal group of robots that were set near the entrance to ambush the participants who rushed in without any thought were torn to shreds the moment the doors had opened just wide enough for someone to see through. The participants who rushed in were met with scrap metal including an ash blonde who was releasing small explosions from her palms. No one expects her seemed to notice the smirk on a certain greenette's face as she slowly walked into the city behind the other participants who were already charging further in. Her emerald eyes shining with power and excitement as the scanned over the chaos.
Another robot laying in wait jumped out to ambush the greenette but she spared it only a glance before it fell into dozens of pieces with a full metallic thud. The ash blonde's crimson eyes widened in realization before she quickly rushed off into the alleys of the fake test city. Soon there would be no robots left it was only a matter of time and the longer any of the participants delayed the less likely they were to get enough points to pass.
"I want her in my class."
The teachers in the observation room turned their heads to the man who had risen out of his yellow sleeping bag and had his eyes glued to the screen. Normally he would just sleep through this part of the exam but now he stood with wild eyes watching the chaos in test city A unfold.
"Her too, I want them both."
"You already have all the recommendation students don't you think it'll be unfair to have those two as well Aizawa?"
A man with silver hair and a bear like stature huffed from his seat while watching the same screen. Although he himself understood why his colleague would want the green haired and blonde kid. They were easily the best suited for this exam with powerful quirks but it was much more than that. The control and practice over their Quirks as well as the strategies they were using were beyond that of a student. They were still rough in their execution but the potential behind those two were enough to eclipse the other participants by a mile.
"As much as I want to argue fairness I think the strict environment the hobo creates is better for those two," a very attractive woman spoke in a sultry tone from her seat, "with quirks like those they'll be dangerous if not disciplined properly. Once I get my hands on them next year I'll whip them into shape. But for now the hobo should get them. Sorry Vlad."
"Now everyone as much I'm glad you're excited it was already decided those two would be placed with Aizawa," a mouse like creature interjected with a chuckle. "Our newest staff member personally went out of his way to recommend these two."
Vlad gave an accusing glare towards All Might who was sitting in the back with a pleased expression.
"I've been keeping on eye on those two for a few months now. Izumi, the green haired one, displays incredible control over such a dangerous Quirk. However what's even more impressive is the way she can plan ways to use her quirk," All Might gestured back towards the screen.
In the few minutes since the beginning of the exam Izumi had made her way to the highest vantage point she could find and was unleashing waves of destruction everywhere she looked. It was a brilliant plan, since her quirk relied on sight it meant that she could easily dominate the battlefield in a situation like this. From her vantage point she could see a vast majority of the open streets where most of the robots roamed in search of participants. The only downside was that she couldn't see into majority of the alleyways. But from the sounds of explosions echoing across the city, the alleys were also being cleaned up.
All Might pressed a button and the cameras turned to the blonde girl, "Katsumi on the other hand has enormous raw power and instincts to match. Her quirk would excel in close combat and she utilizes that to her advantage but she has more tricks up her sleeve than just that. In terms of physical ability she's most likely the best out of all the first years including the recommendation students."
"That's quite high praise coming from you," the mouse creature smiled, "shall we see how they fair when something unexpected happens?"
