Chapter 11

"I won't allow that," Yuji declares. Y/N glances at him, noticing a mouth and an eye on his cheek which was looking at her while speaking.

"Guessed so. But if you keep talking to me, your buddies are going to die." the voice warns, but in a mocking manner.

"This might the cursed spirit inside that they were talking about, the one i saw..on the rooftop of the school." she thinks.

Abruptly, the cursed spirit in front of them spits out a energy ball which destroys the ground in front of it. Its maniacal laughter echoes.

"L/N! Fushiguro!" Yuji calls out, catching their attention.

"Both of you, take Kugisaki out of here. I'll hold it down until you guys leave. After you are out, find someway to send me a signal. After that i'll change to Sukuna." he instructs.

"It's impossible for you to win!." Megumi protests.

"Itadori, we can't abandon you to fight bare-handed!" Y/N adds.

"Look at it." Yuji says, Y/N and Megumi glances over at the curse spirit.

"He's enjoying it. He's totally underestimating us. I can still buy time." Yuji explains.

"You can't." Fushiguro insists.

"Itadori! Don't-" before Y/N could finish Yuji speaks.
"L/N, Fushiguro Please."

Both didn't want to leave him, looking at Yuji's face, his face showed reassurance. They wanted to decline but they couldn't. Leaving seems impossible, yet letting Sukuna take over is the best chance for all their survival.

Y/N and Megumi departs.

"She just strangely was sucked into a hole. Where could she be?" Y/N wonders.

"Don't know, but we need to act quickly." Megumi summons his black divine dog. "Find Kugisaki!" he commands.

After a few minutes of running, the divine dog leads them to a dark room.

"I remember your faces. I will curse you!" Nobara's voice echoes. They rush over and find three mushroom looking creatures laughing, two red and one blue, their cap filled with eyes. Next to them, a larger malformed curse with a blue shell and green patterns on it. It had no eyes.

The curse held Nobara near it's mouth while Nobara was pointing a finger at it.

Megumi summoned his toad shikigami. It saves Nobara just before she's devoured by the curses, safely putting her into it's mouth.

Megumi's other shikigami, great serpent attacks the large creature biting it's side, destroying it.

"We're getting out Kugisaki!" Megumi declares.

"I hate frogs." Nobara remarks.

"Frogs are kinda cute." Y/N comments.

"Well sorry about that." Megumi said as he sweat dropped.

While that's happening, Y/N swiftly moves towards the curses and attacks the one of the three mushrooms with her thin sword, slicing it. Her next attack is on the other mushroom, destroying it. Megumi follows up by having the great serpent strike the third mushroom.

They make their way towards the exit, uncertain but relying on Megumi's divine dog. Megumi carries Nobara halfway as she struggles to run.

After a few minutes, they escape the black divine dog howls loudly as a signal for Yuji.

They head to Ijichi's car which was parked at the entrance.

Megumi placed Nobara in the backseat and from the window he looked over at Ijichi who was sitting on the driver seat, while Y/N stood near the car's open door.

"Please extend the evacuation zone to ten kilometres." Megumi requests.

"What will you do Fushiguro?" Ijichi questioned.

"I will be waiting for Itadori to come back." Megumi answers.

"I see, I'll send Kugisaki to the hospital and return as soon as possible." Ijichi assures.

"It's fine, it's not like you can do anything Mr. Ijichi. If possible, please assign a Grade 1 sorcerer here. Although I don't think there's any." Megumi replied.

Y/N glances at Megumi, finding his tone toward Ijichi somewhat rude.

"What are you waiting for, L/N? Get in." Megumi said glancing over at Y/N.

"Huh? Get in? No! I am staying here with you Fushiguro." she replies.

"It's not safe for you to stay back. Please go with Kugisaki." Megumi pleads.

"And it's not safe for you either. No matter what you say, I am staying till Itadori comes back!" she insisted firmly.

Megumi knew her bond with Yuji was strong, and it would be pointless to try and convince her to go back. As much as he hated this, he knew she wouldn't listen.

Megumi agreed hesitantly, and Ijichi drove off.

As they leave, Y/N looks at Megumi and remarks, "You were quite rude to him by saying that, you know?"

"What for?" Megumi asks.

"When you said he can't do anything. He's trying his best." Y/N responded.

"I was just stating facts L/N."

"Still you could be a bit nicer. You look like you're always angry." she said.

"You now sound like Itadori." he said as Y/N chuckled.

After a few minutes of waiting, they felt a sudden change in the atmosphere.
Megumi looked over at the detention centre, shocked.

"The Innate Domain is sealed, and the Special Grade Cursed Spirit is dead!" Megumi mentions.

As soon as she hears his words, she recalls their Sensei's words.
"An individual is born with an innate domain which exists as a metaphysical space that reflects their mind and soul. It can only be physically constructed or "expanded" using the most supreme technique in all of jujutsu, Domain Expansion.
Haha it's fine if it's too much for you! For now, just get the idea if it."

"I guess I am too dumb for not realising it back when we were at the detention centre." she thought to herself.

"Oh! I hope Itadori comes back safely. I can't wait to see him!" Y/N said with high hopes.

As soon as she finished speaking, a deep, menacing voice speaks from behind her.

"Sorry, but he's not coming back."
