Chapter 40

As Gojo left the room Y/N took a moment to recollect herself. Though tough for her to try and keep her attention away from the thoughts and the feelings that's clouding her mind, she managed to put it aside and stood up from the bed. She didn't want her Sensei to walk in on her half dressed or even completely bare, so that reason too played a part.

She made her way towards the restroom and got fresh. As she was brushing her teeth while looking in the mirror, her mind couldn't help but drift to the events of last night. Her eyes stayed fixed on her reflection, but her mind elsewhere so she didn't even notice pay attention on her counterpart.

"Was it really true?"

"But why don't I remember anything?"

"Is Sukuna trying to manipulate my thoughts..?"

"Can he even do that..?"

"What the hell would he even gain from that? He's already strong and intimidating enough to take anything he wants from me.."

"Like he already did and...have been doing.."

"I don't really think he would bother to do such a thing just to get a reaction out of me"

"..He doesn't really care.."

She sighed and rinsed her mouth and then proceeded to take a bath. As always, it was quick, since she knew she will take a relaxing bath once the day's over.

She got out and slipped in her uniform. The jumpsuit, full sleeved and a comfortable fit. She was so glad that her Sensei had designed the outfit so comfortable. She might call him names, but she was more than happy for the things he had done for her, with or without her knowledge. She also sheathed her small-sized rapier near her waist.

She quickly wore her shoes and opened the door, as she did, she saw Gojo and Nanami sitting on the couch having a conversation.

"Please keep it up, Itadori needs your stupidity now"

Gojo mumbled something and continued,

"Nanami, did you tell Yuji about the finger at Y—"

He stopped himself and turned to face Y/N.

"Ah, so quick," Gojo remarked, as he continued to lounge comfortably on the couch.

He sat back with his legs stretched out, crossed casually at the ankles. His hands clasped behind his head, showing his ease. His expression smug as he stared at her.

While Nanami sat in a poised and composed manner, holding a newspaper with both hands. His posture upright, giving an air of professionalism and attentiveness. His expression focused, giving that he is engrossed in reading the newspaper.

"Of course, I don't want you idiot to walk in while i'm changing," she said with a tiny hint of annoyance.

"Gojo Sensei!"

Yuji stormed into the room with excitement and enthusiasm. All their eyes landed on him with curiosity and confusion.

"Oh, Y/N and Nanami are here too,"

"Heyy, let's go meet them now," He added with excitement his hands reaching in front as he balled them into fists.

"Im excited! Im excited! Im excited!"he exclaimed repeatedly with sparkling eyes.

"Yuji don't tell me that hiding for so long, and now you want to appear normally," Gojo spoke as his eyes remained on Yuji.

Y/N tilted her head as she pondered who they were gonna meet after hiding for so long, she wanted to ask Gojo before, when he was with her in the bedroom, but before she could, he had already stepped out of the room.

"Huh, meet who?" she questioned, her gaze flickering between Gojo and Yuji.

"Fushiguro and Kugisaki!"

"Gojo Sensei told me today morning that we're finally meeting them!!" Yuji continued, his voice filled with eagerness.

"Oh? Really?!" Y/N's eyes widened with excitement. The thought of finally meeting them made her heart jump. Now, she was on tenterhooks, waiting for spending time with them.

"Let's go! Let's go!" she exclaimed with sparkling enthusiasm but Gojo interrupted her by raising up a hand and pointing a finger up at the ceiling.

"You two should give them a surprise"

"Surprise.." Y/N and Yuji murmured at the same time, looking at their Sensei with wide and curious eyes.

"In short, just leave it to me,"

"Megumi and Nobara will be shocked, happy, crying and laughing and after seeing the reunion the people watching will cry as well. Some will cry until they vomit,"

"They will cry soo much that even global warming will be resolved!" Gojo explained, his voice filled with excitement and confidence.

"What should we do what should we do?" the two eager puppies asked their Sensei at the same time.

"You don't have to do anything, just do as I say." Gojo cleared, his tone confident.

"Just go with my plan" he added as he started to do the squid dance.

"And what should we do to follow your plan?" Yuji asked, as he too started to dance along with Gojo.

Y/N couldn't help but chuckle at their childish behaviour.

For the next couple of hours they trained together, not the harsh training but enough to keep them active. And later, Y/N and Yuji went out for shopping, buying everything they felt like even if it wasn't needed.

They kept poking Gojo about their meeting both, in person and on text. Gojo knew the two were beyond eager to meet their friends, so he made sure that the surprise he planned goes according to plan.

As the evening approached, everything was prepared by Gojo.

After they were done with shopping, they arrived at the location that their Sensei had told them to. They have been waiting for 15 minutes and he still hasn't arrived.

"Ugh, this idiot, always late!" Y/N remarked, while Yuji looked at her with a confused baby expression.

Just as she was about to say something more, they heard a voice.

"Yuji! Y/N!"

Gojo called out and their head turned towards him, he came at a halt in front of them.

"Sorry for being late, hehe"

"Idiot!" she mumbled as she looked up at him with slight pout while Gojo looked at her with his usual grin.

"Let's go,"
