Ch 12

(Eli's Pov)

The first thing I notice is that my body feels like lead and that it's hard to move. I try to open my eyes but struggle to get them open. After fighting with my body for awhile I slowly get my eyes open I immediately feeling confused when I see a blurry hospital room. I then notice a blurry male figure at my bedside scrolling through his phone I clearing my throat to get his attention. I see him jump before I hear Seojun's voice he sounding relieved. "You're finally awake." I frown slightly and try to sit up only to cry out in pain my body falling back against the hospital bed. "Hey now take it easy. You're still hurt pretty bad." I groan and speak up my voice hoarse. "What happened? And where's my glasses?" He gently puts my glasses on my face I reaching up to adjust them as he looks at me in concern. "You got stabbed really badly by Thomas and almost didn't make it." I blink before it starts coming back to me I immediately grimacing. "I tried to get away but he was to strong." I then look around the room with a slight frown. "Where's my family?" He gently takes my hand giving it a reassuring squeeze. "They had to deal with something at the police station. They'll be back very soon." I give a little nod before looking at him curiously. "How long was I unconscious?" He's quiet for a moment before saying softly. "About three weeks." I frown a little my ears flattening against my head. "That's a long time." He gives me a sympathetic look. "I'm just glad that you're awake and okay." I give a little nod of agreement then notice some really pretty flowers by my bedside they my favorite kind which are daffodils. I immediately look a little curious Seojun seeming to follow my gaze before saying softly. "I hope you like them. Your brother said they were your favorite." I blink looking at him. "You got them for me?" He nods looking a little sheepish and I smile. "Thank you Seojun." He gives me a little smile when suddenly the door opens I seeing my parents and brother walking through the door they stopping in their tracks once they see me before relief crosses their faces. "Thank goodness you're awake. We were so worried." I give a little smile as I look at my family. "I'm okay. You guys know I wouldn't give up so easily." My parents smile and Jay speaks up with a smirk. "Seojun was just as worried if not more. He'd be here every day after school to see you with new flowers every week." I blink and look over at Seojun it looking like he's blushing. "You didn't have to do that for me. Flowers can be pretty expensive." He shakes his head saying firmly. "I wanted to. Don't worry about the cost." I go to protest but he gives me a look and I back down pouting. "Fine. Thank you for the flowers they're lovely." He smiles at me I feeling my cheeks warm and I clear my throat a little. "So can I go home soon?" They all give each other looks before my dad speaks up. "You literally just woke up Eli you'll have to stay here a little while to get fully better." I grumble and pout my ears twitching. "Fine." My parents nod in approval and I look over at Seojun when I remember something I immediately panicking a little. "Wait I bought something special the day of the stabbing." Seojun immediately speaks up reassuringly. "It's alright Eli. Jay found it and gave it to me." I immediately relax and let out a breath of relief. My parents suddenly excuse themselves dragging Jay with them and I blink in confusion before looking back at Seojun who looks a little nervous. "I actually got you something special too." I tilt my head curiously as he hands me a bag I pulling the tissue paper out and blink reaching into the bag only to see a medium sized sketchbook with a moon and stars all over the cover. I gape in awe and look up at Seojun he giving me a nervous smile. "I know it's probably not as fancy as your old one but I know you needed a new one and I thought of you when I saw it." I smile and immediately say softly. "I love it Seojun thank you. You shouldn't have spent so much on me though. First the flowers now this. I appreciate it but I don't want you spending a lot on me." He gently takes my hand holding it. "You can make it up to me by coming to dinner with me and my family." I blink in surprise before pointing out. "I hardly think that's a fair deal." He gives me a reassuring look. "I think the keychain you got me is enough to make it even but if you really want it to be fair just join me and my family for dinner when you're healed." I sigh but give a little nod. "Alright fine." He smiles and I admire his features thinking how handsome he is then suddenly I yawn a little starting to feel tired and I see Seojun's expression soften. "Sleep angel you need it." I immediately blush and shyly hand over my glasses he putting them on the table beside me and I carefully shift a little to get more comfortable I mumbling tiredly. "Thanks for looking after me and everything." I then slowly fall asleep.
