"Murata-kun, can you help me, please?"

Fuma loved being the class captain — everyone trusted him, and they were very fond of him. He quite liked his class as well — they were close, as if everyone was friends with each other. Even the two new students, Byun Euijoo and Hirota Riki, had settled in quite well. After Harua and Maki became public about their relationship, they received a flurry of positive responses — Maki's odd reputation somehow vanished as well.

Someone bad couldn't be dating Shigeta Harua, after all.

Fuma finished helping the girl with the worksheet and was about to return to his desk when he noticed Yudai quietly standing at the entrance of the classroom. The two made eye contact, and Fuma offered a smile, waving his hand to greet the other. Yudai raised a bashful hand, causing the other's smile to fade.

"Yudai-kun — is everything okay?" Yuma asked as he walked over to the oddly quiet student. "Your face is so red...! Do you need to go to the nurse?"

"E-eh? No, I'm fine—"

Fuma placed his hand to the tall boy's forehead, causing Yudai to stiffen nervously. Fuma hummed as he withdrew his hand. "Do you have a headache? Maybe you're coming up with a cold — I've seen you deny your sickness before."

"I'm fine, Fuma-chan," Yudai said with a laugh. "You don't have to worry about me so much."

"You've been neglecting yourself recently, so of course I'd be concerned," Fuma said as he crossed his arms. "Our track athlete Koga Yudai can't be neglecting his health — you shouldn't be overexerting yourself."

Yudai's cheeks only became brighter. "You're so daft..."

"How am I daft? Am I not reading the situation that well?" Fuma asked, tilting his head in confusion. "I thought I was good at understanding others... are you sure you're not feeling unwell?"

"I came to ask you a favour," Yudai said quickly, causing Fuma to pause in place. "I... I need to talk to you privately. It's very important, s-so... ahem! Stop being nervous, Yudai! Anyway — meet me on the rooftop after school."

"The... r-rooftop?"

Meeting privately on the rooftop could mean only one thing at their school.

Yudai gave a cheerful nod before gently patting Fuma's shoulder. "You should be extremely worried because it's for the reason you're thinking."

Before Fuma could respond, Yudai walked off with a skip in his step. The class captain was frozen in place. What had just happened? Fuma was still, only snapping back when Yuma walked in front of him from down the corridor.

"Eh? Murata-kun, what's wrong?" Yuma asked as he squeezed past the other to get into the class. "You look completely shaken."

"I think Yudai-chan likes me."

Yuma raised his eyebrow before letting out a scoff-like laugh as he dropped his bag on his desk. "Everyone knows that already. Good for you — you finally caught up."

Fuma frowned as he sat in the seat beside Yuma. "What do you mean 'everyone knows'?"

Yuma laughed as he sat at his desk, turning to face the other. "Anyone can see that you two like one another. Why? What made you ask?"

Fuma looked away, his cheeks burning red with embarrassment. "Y-Yudai wants to meet me on the rooftop after school..."

"What?! He's going to confess?!"

Fuma was beyond nervous as he waited on the quiet rooftop all on his own. Was Yudai just making a joke? There's no way he'd ask him out, right? It had occupied Fuma all day, and somehow, word had gotten out that someone wanted to meet Fuma on the rooftop. Excited at the sudden confession, nearly a third of his class were waiting below the staircase to witness it.

"This is embarrassing..."

Yudai eventually joined him, waving his hand as he approached the other. Fuma stood still, heart palpitating with nervousness as Yudai stopped right in front of him. "I didn't think you'd show up."

"I'd be a terrible person if I didn't," Fuma answered, a smile growing on his lips. "I'm sure you saw the crowd — so... say what you want to say."

Yudai glanced down at the ground quietly for a moment before clearing his throat. "M-Murata Fuma, we've been friends for a while, right? We played volleyball together, we were in the same elementary school classes, we sat at lunch together and at some point, I... I felt like we were really close friends. It got slower this year, however — because I started feeling weird around you."

Fuma nodded, his smile slowly growing. "Keep going."

"I thought, 'huh — maybe we haven't hung out together in a while', but it was a different feeling altogether," Yudai continued. "I thought that maybe... maybe I was starting to l-like you. Watching you grow to be this amazing version of yourself is... admirable. I slowly grew romantic feelings for you, but I was so scared of ever telling you. But something told me that you'd be fine with this — that you would reject me nicely. I just know that I have to tell you because it's so burdensome to keep my feelings to myself."

Fuma quietly nodded again, glancing down as he could no longer hide his smile. "Yudai, did you think I would reject you?"

"I wasn't sure if you'd like me back or not," Yudai said quickly. "I don't think you noticed at all. That day at the maid cafe... it somehow made me like you even more. I know it's your wallpaper, by the way — the picture we took together."

Fuma laughed, looking down in embarrassment again. "I won't be changing it any time soon."

"I just wanted to tell you how I feel," Yudai ended off as he stepped backwards. "What you do with that information is up to you, but... I had to tell you. You can even ignore it, I'll understa—"

"Idiot."

Fuma put put his hands to Yudai's waist, tugging him forward and tilting his head as he pressed their lips together. Yudai, shocked by the sudden action, quickly pulled from the warm action. "F-Fuma—!"

"Just let me kiss you."

The two kissed again, a bit more embarrassed by the action when he heard excited squeals, but their hearts rushed with a new happiness. Yudai returned the warm gesture, arms wrapped around Fuma's shoulders to lessen the distance between them.

However, they couldn't kiss forever. Fuma pulled away, gently running a hand through Yudai's hair with a smile. "Do you want to be my boyfriend?"

"Of course I want to be your boyfriend," Yudai laughed as he hugged the other tightly. "I'd love to be your boyfriend, Fuma-chan."

"... you're still calling me Fuma-chan..."

Yudai nodded firmly, eyes glowing brightly with happiness. "Yeah — because you're my Fuma-chan."
