Chapter 3 ✵
Leslie ✵
I sighed in exhaustion as I threw up another three pointer.
"Come on , Lady Warriors we can do this!" My coach yelled out at us we practiced to make our shots.
Basketball can be very tiring and sometimes I feel like quitting but it's something I enjoy to do even though I'm no longer playing it for fun , it's my career now and I have to stick with it.
After a couple more minutes we finished practice and I couldn't be even more tired.
"Hey , where are you headed?" Amber asked me who's also on the team with me.
"Home of course." I told her before heading into the locker room.
She followed behind me.
"Well I'm going over to your place." She stated giving me a suspicious look
"Why?" I questioned her.
"Well I sort of invited Klay and Steph over.." Amber confessed making me give her a look of shock.
"Why would you do that? I'm tired as hell and I don't feel like talking to people." I said mean mugging her.
"Well I wanted to surprise you and I wanted you to get closer to Stephen. I mean you haven't had a boyfriend in over a year , you need somebody to love you." She explained to me with a smile on her face.
I rolled my eyes. "Whatever." I mumbled before walking off.
Amber can get a little annoying and sometimes make me mad at her.
After taking a shower and changing my clothes we left off to my house.

"Get dressed into something different. You look like such a Tom boy." Amber said shooing me off.
I groaned before walking upstairs heading towards my closet.
I started to look for a outfit but when I couldn't find a good enough one I laid down on my bed.
I was staring up at the ceiling when my eyes started to close and just like that I fell asleep.
***
"Wake up sleepy head." I heard a voice say as my eyes started to open.
I moan before opening my eyes wide to see Stephen Curry staring me dead in the eyes.
"What are you doing in here?" I snapped fully awake now.
He chuckled. "Your friend Amber got pretty mad about you being asleep so she sent me up here to wake you up." He explained with a smirk on his face.
I probably look terrible right now.
"I'm sorry for falling asleep I was pretty tired after practice." I told him.
He nodded his head. "Don't worry I totally understand. There has been many times where I would be that exhausted. You can stay here and sleep I'll just be going." He said standing up.
Now I'm feeling bad that he's leaving.
I grabbed his hand to stop him from walking away.
"Can you stay here and talk to me until I fall asleep?" I suggested hoping he would say yes.
He shrugged his shoulders. "Sure."
I smiled at him before laying back. He laid on the other side of my bed.
"Where do we start?" I asked him.
"Well you can start by calling me Wardell." He mentioned.
I nodded my head. "I like Wardell a lot better then Stephen anyways." I told him.
"Me too and only people I truly care about call me that." He explained to me.
I blushed a little while looking down.
"So what started your love for basketball?" I questioned him.
"Well when I was younger my dad use to take me to most of his basketball games and I use to really enjoy it. When I learned how to play myself I enjoyed it even more so I guess I owe it all to my dad. What about you?" He spoke as I gave him my full attention.
"When I was around ten my mom brought me a basketball , since then I've been dribbling , and shooting hoops. Basketball became something I could use to take my anger out or to take the pain away from certain citations I was in. Basketball was my passion and I'm starting to think about giving it up." I told him.
He gave me a look of shock. "Why?" He questioned.
"It's not the same anymore, it's not fun. When I was younger it was fun now I'm slowly starting to lose my interest." I replied back looking him in the eye.
Basketball hasn't been the same for me.
