I have imagined this moment so many times, how I would feel, what I would be thinking and how everything would look but nothing could have prepared me for this very moment, nothing tops being here in real time and seeing everything around me.

Although I have to say, as much as I am happy about where I am now having accomplished my biggest goal yet: moving to a new city and getting my own apartment I didn't think
it would come at such a costly price. A costly price of losing 2 of the most important people in my life, my parents.

But hey let's not focus on the negatives and the sadness after all we are at the beginningof a brand new chapter in my story and in my life. A chapter that I am hoping is filled with good vibes and lots of money because I could really use both!

With that being said, moving was one of the most exciting, memorable and joy filled experiences of my life! Packing and unpacking on the other not so much, I am standing at the center of my apartment living room surrounded by boxes upon boxes.

At this point I am gonna need a full day and a half to unpack and sort everything, matter fact make that a full week. I mean unpacking has to be the most exhausting task ever but its gotta get done so yay for me.

1000 hours later

I am finally done with packing and unpacking all my stuff yay!! Honestly I think I am killing this whole adulting thing I mean hello! With all that being done I have a few more things on my to do list, like grocery shopping (sigh), going to the bank and finally going to the internet cafe to print out my resume. The sooner I get a job the better for me because I am going to need a lot of money since I am going to put my self through college.

By the way I forgot to introduce myself: Hi my name is Primrose Cele, I am 24 years old, a mom to the cutest baby (her name is Donut) and I just moved to a new city. With that being said your girl has to go to the grocery store, get food and some treats for my baby Donut.

I am honestly so happy about my move I can't even put it into words, I mean I have dreaming and fantasizing about this for years. Journaling and scripting about how I want my place to look, the colours, the furniture, the number of bedrooms, etc. I am very happy though that it has finally come to fruition.

It gives me peace that I am now in my own home, a space that is clean, healthy and serene. This is such a big shift from where I come from, the environment I lived in and the people I lived with. It was such a suffocating space where I was around people who didn't treat me like family, neglected me and just walked all over me. My heart ached everyday because I knew that if my parents were still alive life would have been so different but I had to tough it out with the hopes that life will get better soon.

Moving to a new city, new area where I know no one and no one knows me signifies a brand new start, a chance for me to write my story and create a brand new destiny.

At the grocery store: 6pm ish

Honestly I am pushing myself to do my groceries because I am trying to be a productive girl but ayy shame its not easy, I mean I am so exhausted! Any who, I have to get cereal, milk, coffee, bread, eggs, and a few other stuff to tide me over I am able to fully get my life together. Being in a new area and being out and about so late is scary but also exciting.

I found a PicknPay store 15min away and luckily it was still open so I am walking down the aisle ticking of the stuff on my list, the shop is not completely empty there are a few other doing their shopping probably coming back from work this late. As I walk down the aisle I make eye contact with this beautiful white lady and she smiles and walks over to me

"Hey how are you? I saw you earlier at my apartment parking and I couldn't help but wonder if you are new?" she says. For a minute I froze because I get weird around strangers, I finally responded "Hey I am good thanks, um yes I just moved in today". " Oh that's so exciting! It is always nice to have new people come in, my name Lucy by the way it is a pleasure to meet you" she says with a gorgeous smile ( I swear women are beautiful and flawless beings). " Oh its a pleasure to meet you too my name is Primrose and I am glad I got to meet someone, moving to a new area is scary and lonely" I said, "oh don't you worry girl now that you have met me you are stuck with me and I would love for us to hang out some time! by the way which floor do you live in? I live in floor 7 in room 77". "I live in floor 6 in room 6 with my precious dog Donut".

" Oh my you're a dog mom that's exciting, I love dogs I am just too lazy to actually to go get one, we can like have lunch tomorrow if you are available infact let me take your number". I gave my number we agreed to do lunch and then she hugged me and we parted ways, I feel really good with meeting her I mean she loves dogs, she's sweet, friendly and gives great hugs.

After my grocery run I drove home, unloaded everything from the car and got into the building, into the elevator and pressed 6. The building has 11 floors, the first one being reception, security and chilling area then each floor has 11 rooms one being for security people then the other 10 has tenants.

In the elevator there were a few people in. Some were really friendly, you know eye contact and kind smiles, and others couldn't be bothered but I get it's late and everyone is tired. I get a text from my cousin and honestly I just feel like screaming because can't she get a hint.

I have been ignoring her for a week now and before you judge me hear me out, Nicole (her name) only calls me when she needs money from me. Which is a lot by the way and she never pays me back, it's always some stories with her and honestly I'm exhausted at this point.

I used to live with her so I was forced to be around her but now that I live away from home I can definitely limit my communication with her, and the thought of that gives me peace. I walk out and I bump into Mike, he's a security guard here and he's so sweet. He's like one of those father figure types, always wanting to help and he's too good for this world.

He definitely helped out a lot when I first got here and especially when I was getting my life together for my new apartment, shopping for things and stuff like that. He has another goofy that he works with named Andy, I swear those 2 are always joined at the hip. Andy swears that him and I are meant to be together and it's always fun times when I'm around them.
