Chapter IV: Independence Day

♠Ron's P.O.V.♠ 

     I gasped for some air as I realized it has been 10 years since I banned my children from going out on their own. I sighed upon myself as I took a glimpse of my children's photos, they were already 19 and I have been the selected mayor for over 19 years as well, two more years before I step down my title. After going around the estate, I knew my twins can already handle themselves and realizing my over-protectiveness in the past made me do an action right  now. I have come into the decision of letting them choose what they want and where they want to go, but I wasn't sure of my plan, I needed help. I ran back to the mansion as I knew I needed help from my wife. Since it was 30 minutes away before I and Sarafina knew that the kids would go home, we made the talk fast because I wanted them to feel good about our announcement. Sarafina has agreed with my plan, and I have also decided to tell it to mom and dad.

♠Kiara's P.O.V.♠ 

     I was sitting at the library reading some books when my son came in. Andrew was beside Ron as the father and son duo strided towards me. Behind them came Sarafina as well, then it was the time Ron has decided to uplift his order of letting the twins go out on their own, but still he wasn't going to let them enter Uptown. I thought twice as I scratched my head, I knew that the evil spirit of Nicole might as well be lurking around Uptown, so I agreed as well. As we talked of this, my son wasgetting more worried of his decision, we told him to calm down as he feared that thy might slip out and go there once more, now that they are young adults. His wife Sarafina calmed him down as she stated that "There's nothing to worry, the Rutherfords are gone, no physical harm can arrive on them..." and I turned my head to them and nodded back to Sarafina, letting me realize that spirits can't do some immense harm to people, only shocks. Later, my husband dialled our grandchildren as Ron and his wife snuggle at the cozy couch at the library.

     "Are you sure abut this honey?" I overheard Ron ask his wife as she nodded back in response.

     It was time, we heard the front doors open as we silenced ourselves as the two were settling their things down. We heard one of the butlers inform them to proceed to the dinning room at once after they're settled. Minutes later, we saw the twins stride as they took a seat at the long-stretched dinning table. Their eyes stared with awe as they knew an event was up close

♠Rachelle's P.O.V.♠ 

     I sat there as I feasted my eyes on tonight's dinner. My heart was pounding, I was thinking that I might have forgotten one of my family member's birthday. Dad's birthday? Nope, we just celebrated it a month ago. Mom? Nope, grandma? No also, not even grandpa's. Spencer shook his head and bothered to ask before I can.

     "Hey guys, what's up with the el grande fiesta?" Spencer asked gazing in everyone's eyes. The butlers came with our soup in their hands as we went curious with the upcoming event. As the butlers settled the Cream of Mushroom over the table, grandma chuckled and responded to us gently.

     "Your daddy has something to tell you guys, and tonight will be one of the most memorable nights you guys will experience." I was confused, I turned to Spencer as he also turned to me too. I gazed at dad as he smiled back at us. "What's up???" I softy asked to myself as I looked back and forth.

     "Just dig in guys, we'll tell you what's up as sson as we're done eating." Mom chuckled as she ordered us to eat before we can know the big surprize for tonight. And there we were, we had a stomach-filling dinner, another one of a kind. As we were half-way with our desserts, I was too curious to know what was really happening, so I immediately asked what was up.

     "Grandma, grandpa, what's going on really, please just tell us..." Grandpa and grandma shook their heads and gazed at each other for the moment. Later, they turned their heads to dad as I caught daddy nodding back in response. Daddy stood up and made a confident smile on his face as he made the formal announcement.

     "From this day, you guys are free... You may now choose where ever you may go, with your friends..." He turned to us as we just sat there frozen.

     "Hello? You dudes are now free??? You guys should be celebrating by now..." He facepalmed himself as we continued being frozen for seconds, until we turned to each other and smiled. Later, we shouted in joy and danced around. Spencer even had the guts to stand up the table and boogie around. I ran to daddy in tears as I was over-flowing with joy.

     I thanked daddy so much as I ran to him with tears running down my face. It was there, I was free... We both were free... Daddy smiled to us as Spencer was at my right, embracing daddy as well.

     "Don't forget to thank your mom too, as well as grandma and grandpa..." We nodded at daddy as we approached mom and embraced her as well. We strided across the dinning room and gave our grandparents a hug as well. I shook my head, we have waited for this day to come, to be free. It was like I didn't know what to do with my life anymore.

     "Now what???" I turned to Spencer as he also seemed to not know what to do at that point.

     "Go upstairs you two!!!" We heard daddy shout in anger, we were nervously curious... We turned to him in horror as he made that angry look at us. He lost his angry face and began smiling again as he responded once more.

     "...And plan your outing tomorrow..." He continued from his first sentence as we smiled back in over-flowed joy. We nodded and ran to our own rooms, still dancing in excitement as tomorrow was a Saturday. I slammed my door and danced everywhere, I planned to go out with my friends and grabbed my phone and began organizing! As I talked to myself and looked for my calendar, I froze as some memories came back. I gazed at the paradise by my calenday, and it was even labeled "Uptown Saltwood" and there came my memories back for my first male bestfriend in a forbidden land, Johnny. It was then I knew daddy set us free because he trusted us not to go up there anymore, but I'm 19. Suddenly, I heard a very loud thud, I chuckled, it was just Spencer dancing so wildly across my room. I looked out the window as I stared at the moon. I stood up and went out my room, I proceeded to the rooftop balcony where I began gazing at the stars, hoping that one day, I'll find out who I really am and who I am in the future...

     Hours pass as I caught grandma in the sight. I just thought she was just taking a night walk there at the backyard, so I just smiled to myself and decided to go to sleep... Tomorrow is a big day... And I'll make sure no one gets in my way as I secretly revisit my past... My precious memories at Uptown, Saltwood...

♠Kiara's P.O.V.♠ 

  I pretended not to to see my granddaughter at the roof. I knew she was up to something, and I was pretty sure she'd go Uptown, but I didn't care. I know she has to follow her own heart, and I know she'll have a greater memory than ours, may it be bad or good, but I trust her. I walked around the landscape as I caught her go back inside from my peripheral vision. I smiled and continued walking, and thought back of the memories I had such as making myself go into exile from the rest of Saltwood, but it was acutally here where I found my key to my own future. I snickered to myself as I just realized it, she has the key to her future, and I'm not stopping her from getting it somewhere I know where she is forbidden... At Uptown, Saltwood...

There's Chapter 4!!! I hoped you like it, it took me time to convert this chapter (about 3 hours?? O.o) yeah, tomorrow is the end of my Hakuna Matata... T^T SCHOOL STARTS TOMORROW!!! :(( Aaaaaand I think I may stop converting stuff or writing stuff from this point, and I'm pretty sure I'll continue as I'm given the chance to do so.
