Chapter XII: Daymare, Another Bad Dream

     As she went to sleep, she never knew she had entered a bad dream. She dreams of Johnny (again). This time, she is a spectator and can't do anything but watch. She witnesses her father shoot down Betty's carpool wheels and can't do anything but watch the poor woman crash to death. She pans through the scene and discovers Johnny was also inside the car, dead.

     The professor wakes her up and realizes the class was already dismissed half an hour ago. She apologizes for her crude behavior and leaves without another word. She takes a taxi uptown hurriedly and informs the driver to take the other road. She presumes that her dream will be a daymare due to some Déjà vu encounters. She plans to take the other road to meet the victim head-on and warn them about the possibility of a deliberate accident. She gets upset to the stuborn driver and hijacks the taxi. She drives by herself uncontrollably but accidentally takes the highway northbound. Instead of meeting the victim head-on, she revises and plans to chase any car that resembled the driving pattern of the carpool in her dream.

     She spots one car and accelerates. Sapphira was caught over-speeding and was chased by cops. She never knew the car she was following was actually her mother Sarafina. As they were nearing the accident area, Betty aimed her semi-automatic rifle to Sarafina's wheels and in another flash, shoots it. Sarafina's car goes out of control and crashes. Sapphira fails her plan as parts from her mom's car tumbles across the highway. A hyrdaulic tube gets pinned at the taxi's wheel causing it to jam and force the taxi to flip upside down. This causes a chain of other accidents in the area and fatally injures innocent victims. A number of people died in the chain accident as Sapphira rushes to her mom's car. Despite her injuries, she continues to check-out the victim if fine or not.

     As she closes in, she finds her mom unconscious and was shocked that her mom would be the victim. She brought her to an ambulance that arrived a moment ago. Police and medics rushed to the scene as the media featured the accident live on TV. Just as the family arrives at the hospital, Sapphira confronts her father and blames him on the accident. The young woman mistakens her father to be a murderer and gets disappointed. After several disagreements, the two fought and never got along well. Ron was depressed and Sapphira was agitated. Ever since this fight, the father and daughter weren't good partners and the two never talked recently. Sapphira was filed an arrest warrant for hijacking public vehicles and causing a series of accidents. She was brought to court and explained her stand and explains on how she failed to prevent a separate incident from happening. The court dismisses her case due to the fact that it was true another incident happened at the moment but still, she was involved in the incident since the two were separate cases.
