Chapter XXXI: September 16 Terrorist Attacks

Tuesday: September 16, 2036...

    Today was the big day! Sapphira was getting ready at the lobby of tower 2. Spencer decided to get ready at the estate instead so it will be "different" this year. As she was ready, she started to check herself out. She waited for her VIP who is Johnny and awaited his call. In just moments, he was called by Johnny. He requested her to go to floor 30 and take a look at him from tower one. Excited, Sapphira takes an elevator to level 30 and looks for Johnny. Johnny requests her to use a telescope she can find near an office desk and tells her he could be found near the corner of the building. Sapphira was shocked to see Johnny held captive by his mother. She hurriedly proceeded to tower one. Her gown was ruined and was starting to get ripped from its base. She proceeds to tower one and chases Betty.

     Chasing each other around the tower, Sapphira was able to corner Betty at the indoor observation deck. Betty fires her gun to cause people to evacuate and leave only them three at the situation. It was there Betty started to tell stories. While the innocent prince was left suffering in silence, Sapphira slowly learned of Betty's true motives, but not her true identity. This made Sapphira's anger rise and confront her. Nicole tells her to stop for a while and look at the beauty of nature. Just as she glances outside, a plane crashes to the building. This sends an immense ball of fire around the building, separating the two. Johnny falls and suffers slight concussion, losing some of his recent memories. They continue their chase until the roof, where Nicole retreats to the tower's unstable spire with Johnny in her hands. As Sapphira rushes to her, Nicole shoots down the remaining cable supports which make the spire collapse reaching far to Tower Two's observation deck. Nicole hops on the gigantic spire which she uses to cross to Tower 2. Sapphira follows, but always gets repelled by gunshots.

     As Nicole was halfway to Tower 2, she drops Johnny and leaves him for a while. She goes back to Sapphira to confront her. The two ensure a fight at the spire as Johnny tries to escape. Luckily, Johnny escapes and proceeds to Tower 2. With his plan to use a "grappling hook" to kill his mother, he goes inside a mechanical penthouse to retrieve the weapon. As he is about to fire it, another plane crashes to Tower 2. This sends a powerful shockwave to both towers that weakens the spire. As the spire bends and collapses, Nicole and Sapphira runs to the nearest tower, Tower 1. They hang-on to the remaining section of the spire. Sapphira tries to hold on and reaches out a hand for Nicole...
