AN/ Hello my amazing readers!! :D

Here we go!!! ❤️

The creature licked his lips again, watching me with interest, "It was a tiny boy called ... Gianni?"

My vision blurred, and I fought to maintain my composure.

'Not possible. No no no!'

"Ohh, no, wait...Giovanni! Yes, yes, yes! That was the name." He chuckled and jumped up and down, his big belly bouncing, as he clapped his hands in excitement. "He cried so much! Even from inside my belly!"

I did not know any Giovanni, thank God. But still...

"You are horrible." I snapped, anger and fear surging through me.

"Thank you!" It replied with disturbing cheerfulness, "and don't worry, I'm full. And your master would kill me if I touched his mate," it licked its lips, revealing dirty fangs that made my stomach churn.

"Then go away and leave me alone."

"But if I killed you" it continued, as if I were not even there, "I would kill him." An eerie glint of madness flashed in his eyes, "Yes, yes, yes! One less master to bully us! Uuuuu, great plan." It clapped his clawed hands together, "And, you see... after a meal, I'm always a little horny." It giggled in an unnatural way.

Before I could react, the monstrous creature was upon me, so fast, even after the 'meal'. Its grotesque phallus emerged from its hidden sheath. Panic surged within me, but I was frozen in terror.

And then, the impossible happened. As soon as one of the clawed hands grabbed my wrist, the creature ignited like a towering bonfire, blue flames devouring it before my disbelieving eyes. The stench of burning flesh filled the air, both sickening and strangely sweet.

Our gazes locked for a brief, heart-stopping moment— panic in its eyes, realization dawning— before the creature disintegrated into a pile of ashes and various bones.

Zerberus's cryptic words about a 'pile of ashes for the bored wind to play with' suddenly made horrifying sense.

Horror and disgust overwhelmed me as I recognized smaller bones within the pile—the remains of the creature's meal, a boy named Giovanni. At least he had been avenged.

"Oh my God." I whispered, tears streaming down my cheeks. My forehead throbbed painfully, the mark pulsing with an intensity that matched the turmoil in my heart.

Amidst the chaos and despair, a figure emerged from the shadows—the figure I had been dreading and yearning to see: Zerberus.

AN- Odette and her new home! <3 Could she manage?!

The ominous encounter with the crocodile-like creature left me trembling and fearful, yet my focus shifted to Zerberus, who casually leaned against a breech tree, with his perfect long white hair swaying in the wind. Anger welled up within me, yet I couldn't hold back my questions.

"You saw the crocodile?" I murmured to which he rose an eyebrow. "And you didn't do anything? You let that thing terrorise me?" Tears welled up in my eyes as I sobbed the words.

Zerberus remained silent, his feral eyes fixed on me. I wiped away my tears with my sleeve, hands balling into fists. I needed answers, and I needed his help to find Gianni and make sense of this bewildering situation.

I took a step toward him, my resolve hardening with each passing moment. I was determined to voice my grievances, to demand his assistance, to make him explain everything to me. But before I could utter a single word, Zerberus surprised me.
