Wish You Were Here (Bonten Rindou Haitani X Fem. OC)

Chapter Sixteen:

The doors swing open, and once they do, my eyes meet the seemingly empty and soulless eyes of the leader of Bonten.

'Mikey.'

"Welcome to Bonten..."

.

"Kaede."

Kaede POV

I let my eyes linger on the soulless void that are the eyes of the brutal leader of Bonten before moving further into the room.

"Sit." Mikey dismissively waves his hand towards the seats at the head of the table opposite of him. 

I look over at Natsu and my brother who nod their heads at me in agreement. I make my way towards the table and take a seat, Natsu and my brother follow suit, then the rest of the executives. 

"Have you discussed your conditions?" Mikey taps his fingers impatiently on the table. 

"We have." I bluntly state. 

"And..." Mikey draws out, beckoning me to continue. 

"Included in our agreement, we want to include an out. A get out of jail free card, an exit to the agreement for if me and my executives ever find ourselves at a point where we feel compromised within your organization." I explain before letting my gaze wander amongst the faces of the other executives, who don't seem too keen on the idea. 

"We also want to ensure that while we stay here, our rooms will be located next to each other." I look back over at Mikey. "For safety reasons." I set my right elbow on the table and rest my cheek on my palm. 

"I think that second condition is doable, but that first one..." Koko trails off before looking over at his boss, who shakes his head. "Is not doable." Koko finishes.

"Not doable?" I ask again under the guise of asking for confirmation, but in reality, I'm just doing it to piss them off. 'I really do have problems with authority.'

"Yes." Mikey nods his head, a look of annoyance covering his face. 

"Hmm..." I raise my other hand up to my face and tap my pointer finger on my chin to feign thinking. "Then no deal."

I get up from my seat, looking over at Natsu and Ryoko to follow me. They look up at me, their eyes conveying a message of pure confusion and shock, before getting up to follow me out of the conference room. 

I move to open the door, but before I can-

"Wait."Kakucho abruptly states. "We'll accept the condition."

"Will you now?" I look back over my shoulder towards the table full of executives. 

"What part of 'we'll accept the condition' do you not understand woman?" The pinkette shouts from his spot at the table, causing Ran, who's seated next to him, to swat the back of his head. "Hey..." Sanzu pouts as he rubs the back of his head. 

I move away from the door and nod my head towards Natsu and Ryoko to motion them to follow me as we head back over to retake our seats at the table.
