Wish You Were Here (Bonten Rindou Haitani X Fem. OC)

Chapter Seven:

A/N: Wow! I got myself to update two days in a row :) Honestly an accomplishment for myself. I got in a car accident today (it wasn't my fault and I'm thankfully okay) and I needed a distraction. What's a better distraction then writing about my favorite jellyfish? Enjoy :)

"What do you do for work Koko?"

...Kaede."

Bonten Headquarters earlier that day...

"Rindou, Kakucho, and Kokonoi will attend the gala while Ran and Sanzu work surveillance. Takeomi, Mochi, and myself will stay behind. With everyone assuming that Bonten will be in attendance, we need to keep this place guarded." Delegates the boss.

"But I want in on the action...' whines Sanzu, the pink haired executive, 'I wanna catch this fucker." Sanzu proceeds to throw a temper tantrum, making the executives all roll their eyes in unison, 'how come this man is second in command...he's a literal child' they all disappointingly ponder.

The stoic faced boss, Mikey, smacks Sanzu on the back of his head, causing Sanzu to further whine. "Then it's final. Everyone will meet downstairs at seven o'clock sharp. You're all dismissed." The boss proceeds to get up from the table first, while everyone else follows behind.

"Kokonoi, will you stay behind for a moment?" The stoic boss turns to the man in question, his tone dripping in a seriously ominous tone, causing Kokonoi to immediately nod his head in response.

Kokonoi stays behind in the conference room and continues to remain standing up in front of where Mikey seats himself. While on the outside, Kokonoi seems like a powerful and confident man, but in reality, the poor man is shaking in his Versace Burgundy Aevitas Heels.

While many would say that Mikey's a generally hard to read man, it's anything but that to Kokonoi. Kokonoi believes that Mikey displays his emotions like a child. When Mikey doesn't get his way, he throws tantrum, taking his anger out, both verbally and physically, on the Bonten executives (mainly a certain pinkette). Kokonoi easily became adjusted to the hot and cold behavior of his stoic boss, mainly due to his nature being similar to that of another man he served during his time as an Tenjiku executive. While Kokonoi is usually unfazed by his boss' behavior, there was something so serious about his tone that made Kokonoi sweat.

"Sit." The boss demanded, causing Kokonoi to fumble his way into the chair. Mikey slides a single manila folder across the desk, beckoning Kokonoi to look through its contexts.

Kokonoi opens the folder and his eyes are met with a photo of a beautiful young woman with strikingly haunting green and grey eyes. As quick as he looks at the photo, he sets it down, looking up at his boss with confusion written on his face.

"Her name is Kaede Misaki." Mikey mumbles, causing Kokonoi to become even more confused as to why his boss is telling him this information. Kokonoi picks the folder back up to continue rifling through its contexts in hopes to find an answer.

"She's who I believe to be the Grim Reaper." The boss continues, causing Kokonoi to abruptly look up from the folder.

"Why are you only telling me this?" Kokonoi further questions, wondering why Rindou and Kakucho weren't involved in this conversation.
