Hey guys! I am incredibly sorry for the three people who still read this story, and haven't been given any content! I was busy with life and stuff. I recently graduated high school so I was taking a break from doing just about anything really lol. But now I am back and will be pushing out more content. I am even rewriting a lot of this story. In fact, I just rewrote something in chapter 13 that will be very important to this chapter! I high recommend that you go back and reread chapter 13! I hope you all enjoy reading!

Alex

When I woke up I could smell dads cooking on the stove. The smell of breakfast will always be one of my favorite. I woke up just in time too. My dad was walking in to get me to eat. I got out of bed and went to the kitchen with zero hesitation.

"You excited for the beach today?"

Hope asked still half asleep.

"You know, I would feel a lot better if we had an umbrella or a canopy to block that horrid sun."

I hinted at my dad. He laughed.

"Yes Alex, you can borrow the umbrellas. I would let you use the canopy but it got fucked up by the last person who borrowed it."

"Hey! It's better than nothing! Now I won't get a sunburn!"

"Or a tan. White boy."

The kitchen roared with laughter at Hopes joke. But she is right. I'm very pale. But I burn easily. When the laughter died down, I turned to Hope.

"What time are we leaving?"

"No clue. isn't Kevin driving us?"

"I'll call him after I eat."

Its no secret that my favorite breakfast food is french toast. I could have four without it putting a dent in my belly. Its so delicious. The fact that my dad made them today made today that much better.

After I ate, I went and grabbed my phone. I had a missed call from Kevin, and a few text messages. I called him when I cleared the notifications.

The tone rang a few times before he picked up.

"Hey Kev."

"Hey Alex."

What time are we going to the beach, and are you driving us."

"Uhh... I forgot we were doing that."

He laughed.

"You dumbass."

We both laughed. Hope came in to grab what she needed to get ready then went to the bathroom.

"Hope and I are getting ready now. We already ate so when you're ready you can head over and we'll leave. Sound good?"

"Yeah. I'll be over soon."

"Sweet. See you soon Kev."

Hope was putting on her bathing suit, and I was packing a bag for the trip. I grabbed extra towels, sunscreen and an inflatable ball that we could throw around for fun. When Hope was done in the bathroom, I went in to change. By the time I got out, Kevin was knocking at the door. I guess my dad let him in because he was already at my door.
