Chapter 2

Whole room became silent in a few seconds and we stared at each other without saying anything. Then my mom stood up and hugged me tightly.

"I missed you so much my Rosalinda" she said with a shaky voice but i was just so surprised that i couldn't react. She went back and looked at me with concern.

"Aren't you happy to see me my darling?" I finally went out of the shock I was in and reacted by starting to cry. This time I hugged her tightly and started to cry even more. I was bawling my eyes out both for the relief of finding my mom and for the fear of what is going to happen after today.

"I thought you were dead mom" i cried

"I know darling, I know, I am so sorry" she answered me hugging me

We both hugged and cried together for a while before I calmed down enough to talk. As I was about to line up all my questions to my mom we both heard 3 clicks and the door of the room opened. We both glanced up and saw Jaiblynn stand there with a surprised expression on his face.

"Do you guys know each other or is it normal to tangle up with the humans you just met in the human world?" he said with a soft voice that reminded me of Dains voice. I stood up and fixed my clothes.

"She is my mom Jaiblynn"

"Ooh that's why you looked so surprised when you came into the room"

"So you saw that i got surprised and still didn't say anything?" I scowled "Anyway why are you even here, did you decide to kill me after all?" My mom poked my arm. I realized I was being a little too harsh. Especially considering my life depended on him but I still didn't take back what I said.

"I see that your nerves are not having it at the moment but I came to ask you if you want to come to dinner with me."

I made a face to him, "what? dinner? Am I not your capture or something like that? Why would you dine with a human?" "Maybe because you are the dinner and he is going to eat you?" I stopped abruptly with Dains voice.

"Where were you all that time?!" I shouted in my mind and Jaiblynn scowled.

"Stop shouting and please mercy my ears Rosalynn"

"We are going to talk about that later but first I need you to say yes to him and go to that dinner" As I was going to ask him more questions I looked at Jaiblynn and decided to shut up. I didn't want him listening to our conversation with Dain. As I was debating if I should listen to Dain and say yes Jaiblynn interrupted my thoughts.

"Since you are not shouting anymore let me assure you that I definitely am not going to eat you and you are not going to dine with just me, you are going to join a court dinner. " That bastard. I looked back to my mother but she was watching us expressionless.

"What about my mom? Is she going to join us too?" I asked

"Oh no, absolutely no, you are going to join me pretending to be my sister and your mother doesn't really look like someone who could be my sister." He raised his hands to my mom saying: "no offense".

I really wanted to ask Dain why he wanted me to say yes but I didn't want Jaiblynn knowing I could talk to him again.

"And where exactly is your sister?" I asked, trying to buy myself some time to think.

"She is not here right now and my mom and dad doesnt know about it. With little use of facetailor you will look exactly like my sister and we will not get into trouble" he said cutely. What the fu- right no swearing but what is facetailor? I looked at him with expectation and he continued to stare back at me. Seeing he wanted to play dumb I shouted to myself loudly making him scowl again.
