Chapter 12

I woke up to the sound of a door closing. It was Raiden who went inside. I was about to ask him why he got inside but decided to let it go. I was too sleepy to get up anyway. He sat down at the living room table and took out the paper Enan gave him yesterday. Releasing a deep breath he took a pen from a drawer and started writing something.

Wait what? That caught my interest and I slowly rose up to see him more clearly. Why is he writing on the rule paper Enan gave us? I saw him mouth "that bastard" and throw the rule paper. Still not noticing me he rose up again and took a paper from the same drawer he found the pencil. He sat down and wrote some stuff for a while and then folded that paper. He opened it again and put the wrinkled paper in his pocket. He turned back towards the balcony and I quickly closed my eyes.

As I was busy wondering what the hell he was doing he opened the balcony door and layed back on his duvet. He did not get up again and I fell back asleep waiting for him to do anything more.

"Rise and shine, rise and grind!" Frowning, I opened my eyes to Eleni's too happy voice.

"Why are you so full of energy so early in the morning, Eleni?" Standing up slowly I cast a glance at Raiden. He was looking at me too. After looking at each other's eyes for a couple of seconds I finally broke eye contact and looked at Eleni. She was already fully dressed up and ready.

"Because we have a lot to do today and if we start the day happy hopefully it will continue that way." I need that kinda optimism. I could never wake up so happy if I knew I will have a way too adventurous day ahead. And even though I didn't know for sure I knew at least that we were not about to have a calm and peaceful day.

"Well, get up. Go to your room and dress up. There are tons of beautiful dresses in every room. You two can get dressed while I make something to eat," she said while dragging me by my arm.

"Okay, okay stop dragging me fortunately I am fully capable of walking by myself"

"Always so grumpy" I gave her a smile and opened the balcony door. Choosing the door nearest the entrance I went inside my room. As Eleni said the room was full of clothes and other stuff. It was a very big bed in the middle of the room and a table with drawers beside it. Right in front of the bed was an open closet full of amazing dresses. It was more clothes than I had ever seen in my life. With sparkling eyes I neared the closet. They were truly amazing. I ran my hand over them stopping on one that caught my eye. It was a blue and white dress. Its upper part was in the form of a blue corset and it had blue tulle on with some elegant gemstones. It was all made of tulle and the blue tulle on top blended with the white tulle on the skirt at the waist. Towards the ends of the dress it was just white tulle and it was just so beautiful.

I knew that it was a little too much to wear daily but I still couldn't stop myself from wanting to try it. Still I took another black dress and took it on instead. It was more casual. I braided my white hair and went out. Both Eleni and Raiden were already on the table waiting for me.

"Since Rosalinda is also here I think we can start by taking a look at the rules Enan gave us yesterday" Raiden was trying to take out the paper from his pocket while talking but my eye went to the bin he threw the paper in the middle of the night. He took out the paper he wrote when he thought we were sleeping and put the paper in front of us. I gave him a suspicious look but then turned to the paper. It was full of rules. Eleni started to read aloud.

"No one is allowed to bring a faerie in to Guernri or hide them.

No one is allowed to go around outside without permission or an emergent reason.

No one is allowed to hold hands or do anything that may transfer any power.

Everyone has to join the weekly balls cast at the Ushain valley.
